If Tartaglia's Foul Legacy form was taken in a modern day AU, what is that? Demonic possession? Werewolf transformation?

Hmm... I guess we could take it in a couple of ways. We could take it in a supernatural direction, where I suppose we could go in quite a few directions, or we could try and translate it into a more realistic human behaviour.

Foul Legacy, in canon, appears to be a physical transformation using both a hydro vision and an electro delusion (visions are bestowed by the heavens, essentially giving regular humans a little bit of god power, delusions are human made copies of the same thing, but they have a horrible effect on the human body, once making someone age incredibly quickly.) It's a fighting style he learned from his master in the Abyss, which in Genshin Impact seems to be a place born entirely of negative emotion. Given that hydro is shown to represent emotion, justice, and adaptability and electro is shown to represent devotion, unpredictability, and eternity... it could be said from that that Foul Legacy is a complete devotion to something like the shadow self, or the shadow of a nation, given that it's a Legacy. You know, when you realise just how horrible your ancestors were or how awful the atrocities your nation has committed are. Therefore, it could be something like abandoning your humanity in order to become a single minded warrior for just one belief or goal, or whatever. 

Now that we've established the core of Foul Legacy, that it's the complete devotion to some sort of incredibly strong emotion at the cost of everything else, we can try to translate it!

If you wanted to stick to the more supernatural, but wanted to remain more modern, it could be something like Tartaglia signing away his soul to a demon, probably the avatar of Wrath or Gluttony, allowing him to become a vessel for that demon whenever he wills it (devotion!) A werewolf transformation could sort of work if it was something he got branded into him or something. From what little I know, I think lycanthorpy is usually treated as a hereditary thing? I know it as a metaphor for the cycle of abuse and stuff like that, and I don't think that fully fits, but if it was some sort of devotion to a master or cause that he actively chose, it would work.

If you wanted to go fully modern AU, normal Earth, I suppose... he could work as some sort of police officer or prosecutor, or a higher up on the corporate ladder that is only, and I mean only, concerned with the business and business related matters. I think he genuinely would also work as like a member of the military or something. I guess a bit more of a fun option is an athlete of some kind, or a pop star, anywhere you need to kinda let go of your humanity to be a single minded, single purpose tool.

Joking aside, I don't really see characters as "deserving" fat art or not. I think that sentiment is better used as fuel for your own creation, you know? If you want something, then make it!

It feels like since they already put on weight in the base world they might be more gluttonous or lean into things further than the average citizen. Do you have any headcanons for those two?

While the idea of someone being spiritually fat is fun, and I'd love to explore it sometime, and it probably is something that the Volists believe in, I don't think it's a real legitimate thing in the design of the canon fat characters. By that, I don't think they're stereotypical fat characters in canon. Which is a good thing! I'm still gonna twist it though.

Interestingly, I've already established that the two core pillars of Volism is Prosperity (diamond) and Generosity (pearl) (i wish i could take credit for that symbolism but it was complete coincidence). The two you mentioned for some reason fit really well into each of those beliefs individually?

Leon has become the big name face of food partnerships and advertising everywhere. It was mostly a coincidence, though, it was just something that he kinda fell into. Gordie, on the other hand, used that sort of thing to carve out his place in the world. Sponsorships, food and eating based game shows, food critiques... food is whole brand. It's where he started. If not Raihan or Leon, Gordie's big, chubby face is all over all the advertisments for the latest Burger Kingler deal or Taco Bellsprout flyer. He is the epitome of Prosperity. So, in that interpretation, yeah! I think that Gordie would be noticeably more gluttonous than the people around him. It's his brand!

We've already established that Drayden's narrative is that he's seen as extremely fit for being so mobile despite his size and focuses primarily on securing the future for the immobile and barely mobile residents of Opelucid City. So, I'm going to try and write some more grounded headcanons for him, like I did with Siebold!

Despite his fit and mobile image, he does have all the assistance and equipment he needs to get around his house. Slings, holds, bars, you name it, he's probably got it, as well as a few assistants with a relatively quick turnover rate. Anyway, he gets out of his bariatric bed (it's the only thing that can really hold him at this point) with either the help of his assistants or his Pokemon, though sometimes he tries to get out of it (mostly) on his own through sheer force of will. He gets up an hour or two before he really *needs* to because he needs enough time to properly enjoy his breakfast.

After getting cleaned up, he trains with his Pokemon, sumo wrestling them, racing them, whatever will mutually benefit both of them right through until lunch, which is another decent, hour-long meal at least. After that is the time he sets aside for public relations, public appearances, or relationship building time, whatever it may be. Meeting with any proteges he may have, announcing the latest mobility tech deals, simply making speeches that can be difficult to hear over his belches at times or just taking a little time to waddle around the city and be visible. Camera appearances usually make him a little self conscious of how sweaty and strained his clothing constantly is, but he makes do. Usually he has his assistants take care of any errands, but sometimes he sweatily takes care of them himself. Generally, he has a dinner with someone or other, sometimes it's a date, sometimes it's a formal occasion, sometimes it's a simple friends thing. It doesn't really matter what it is, he always ends up stuffed.
