“Why, hello Roo!” the boy greeted warmly, looking down at the small kangaroo. “Whatever are you doing out in all this rain? Practicing your bouncing by jumping in puddles?”

The more she traveled, the less familiar her surroundings became. As the girl walked through the wood, the bright orange and red Autumn trees of the Unknown began to recede into trees of a more greener sort. Before long, the landscape had become something entirely different and Lorna knew she most certainly was lost.

Yet her pace did not slow as she continued to wander. Her brown gaze followed suit, as it traveled to and fro, taking in the new scenery. She was distracted. So she didn’t notice the presence of the young boy who had joined her until he spoke. She jumped a little, eyebrows becoming raised as her eyes widened a little in surprise.

“Oh!” She gasped softly, turning to face the boy. Lorna smiled a little shyly, holding her hands behind her back. “Hello there. Yes, I am quite alright, but very lost indeed. Might I ask, do you happen to know where I am?” She inquired.

“Hello... did I frighten you? I’m very sorry, but I’m very glad you’re all right,” the boy said kindly, smiling at the older girl. “And of course-- why, you’re in the Hundred Acre Wood! My friends and I live here.”

The fact that she seemed to have come from somewhere else outside of the Wood was curious to him; obviously, his friends like Kanga, Roo, and Tigger all came from somewhere, but, he hadn’t put very much thought into where that somewhere was. He briefly imagined all the wonderful places that the girl possibly could have come from, and how, out of all of those places, she managed to come here. This was a very exciting thing indeed.

I won’t be using it a lot (mainly because of the thought of having the dear boy grow up is saddening to me), but, this verse will not be compliant with the upcoming Disney movie of the same name, nor with Goo.dbye Ch.ris.topher Ro.bin.

Instead, in this verse/in these verses, Christopher never forgets his childhood, and can still visit the Hundred Acre Wood to see his friends playing and having fun. Sometimes he’ll join in their escapades, but most of the time he writes down and observes everything that’s going on and listens very intently to what his friends tell him so that he can turn these adventures into stories to share with the rest of the world. That way, people all over can have Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and everyone as their friends. Therefore, Christopher will be a writer, or perhaps a teacher.

“...Excuse me, are you alright? You look a bit...” He paused, trying to find the right word. “...lost. Can I help?”

“That was lovely!” he enthused, giving a few claps in applause and smiling brightly at the other.
