lazy spring days

i am SICK AND TIRED of people immediately assuming that my life is being threatened because i hang out with adults. minors interacting with adults is not inherently bad, and adults interacting with minors is not inherently bad, and believing that it is, is ageist.

i can absolutely understand that people don’t want kids to be assaulted, groomed, or harmed by interacting with adults, but it is INCREDIBLY ISOLATING to try to join a space and then be kicked out because i’m too young. to try and interact with someone just a few years older than me and then be ghosted because they’re afraid of the backlash. to try and make an argument and debate with someone and then be immediately reminded ‘you’re 15’ and have my entire point be invalidated simply because it was assumed i have less life experience.
