An enigma

If Sephiroth were to have a partner who could carry his child you cannot convince me that man would be normal in the delivery room. Throughout the last stretch of the pregnancy he's going about his day with benzos in his pockets and when his partner goes into labor he pops them like they're fucking candy because if he were to not do that he would be so testy and anxious and domineering about the whole thing they'd try to remove him from the delivery room and he'd like bite a nurse's finger off. It could be the healthiest smoothest birth in the world and the sight of his partner in pain during the labor would have him one inconvenience away from Nibelheiming the entire hospital and the sound of the baby crying would send him into such a panic he might do it anyway. and i do NOT mean this in a cute endearing protective way i mean this in a terrifying "scaring even his partner, possibly hurting them by causing them extreme stress and barely being aware of it because he's so in his own head" kind of way. he would be the WORST if allowed to go into it without 5+ years of intense trauma recovery therapy and enough drugs in his system to knock out an elephant

Cloud actually did a very bad job emulating Zack's persona, because the defining trait of Cloud-as-Zack is "cool", and Zack wasn't actually cool but he was to Cloud. Zack views Cloud getting to live as a relief and Cloud views it as a curse. Zack thinks saving Cloud was his One Good Thing and Cloud thinks of Zack as the ideal hero and himself as the Mistake. Zack would probably been overjoyed when Cloud recovered his memories because up until his death Zack never really came to terms with The Concept Of Zack Fair, but we know he loved The Person That Is Cloud Strife.

Zack Fair is one of the video game guys ever made. He's a sweetheart. He believes government propaganda. He commits multiple war crimes and says "Oh yeah!" afterwards. He joins newsletter fanclubs for people he knows in real life. His coworkers call him puppy dog to his face. He's the beating heart trapped under the floorboards of the narrative. One time he pretended to let a nine year old beat him up. He's a country hick and proud of it. He loved one unimportant loner man so hard that the entire story of final fantasy vii exists. He's a government experiment. He's in a book club.
