{ ~ * 🌸 * ~   The cherry blossom hadn’t been back from Cordycep Country for long, just a few moments. She just left the station when a faint sound could be heard behind her as she walked away from the place, stopping the dressed up flora in her tracks

Actually, scratch that, the noise was actually really loud. But loud or quiet, she knew it wasn’t good either way.

Waca.

Oh no.. not again.

She quickly (and fearfully) turned around to face the tiny plant, she knew exactly what was coming. Talk about a warm welcome back.

She braced herself for what was to come, that was, until Chomper was shoved outta the way. As she sighed in relief, she could hear another familiar voice. It was alot more friendly, and knew exactly who that was, too.

“兄! CAGNEY!!”

Carrie instantly perked back up upon seeing the carnation, smiling sweetly. Talk about a warm welcome back!

“How are ya bud? It’s been a while!” Carrie, a few days isn’t that long of a while.   ~ ✧ﾟ･: * 🌸 ✧ﾟ･: * ~ }

-- Its been a while! Its been boring here without you around! I mean, not as boring but I still missed your face and pigtails!

It takes the carnation a while to figure out how to hug her properly. Even in his “adorable” form he was still taller than her.

-- And you didn’t grow up an inch! Still the size of a small doll, huh?!

-- She was only a few days out.

-- WHATEVER! Is not like someone stops growing up!

Finally lets go of her. What a tight hug.

{ ~ * 🌸 * ~   The pink flora smiled sweetly and blushed as Cagney complimented her, although the mention of fighting at the end slightly unsettled her (Seriously, what’s with these carnations and wanting to fight all the dang time? Don’t they have anything better to do?). But it was nice to know there was one plant that treated her well, considering the fact that the last one did nothing but yell at her and beat people up unprovoked. 

Carrie tilted her head as he asked about the tea, she smiles sheepishly.

“Well…no…okay maybe sometimes.” 

“It’s like, my body processes liquids, but not solids. That’s why I can drink tea but not eat food. Does that make sense? I-I hope so.” she explains.

“Eating’s kinda like a… thing some of us can or can’t do, i-it’s a mixed bag really, I’m one of the plants who can’t.. I can eat ice cream but that’s about it.” she sighs, a shame really, food looks so good but sadly she will never be able to have it. But it wasn’t long until something cut her thoughts about food short.

“Oh! I-I almost forgot to introduce myself ha-”

She pinches onto the sides of her ‘skirt’ and bows.

“I’m Carrie, Carrie Blossom. It’s really nice to meet you, Cagney.”   ~ ✧ﾟ･: * 🌸 ✧ﾟ･: * ~ }

-- Carrie Blossom? Pretty name for a pretty small flower like you!

There it is, his face suddenly morphing into a cuter expression His large pointy finger slighty presses the cherry blossom’s head, who knows if for the laughs or curiosity.

-- Opposite to what you may believe, plants who can eat solids like me aren’t as common around here. Just ask Lala or Popo! I believe they simply feed themselves from the sunlight or dirt.

-- Don’t you like dirt, Carrie? Its nutritious! I mean, for your kind! Not saying I don’t like a good chunk of tasty dirt! Or you feed only from sunlight and tea? Can you make tea with cherry blossoms?

-- Wanna go for ice cream with me?!

{ ~ * 🌸 * ~   Aaand there she goes, smiling like an idiot and wearing a cute pink dress. It seems that Carrie was finally back from her mini-vacation!

“I’m Carrie Blossom! Floral princess!

…W-wow, that title sure sounds cool! Don’tcha think?”   ~ * 🌸 * ~ }

There’s a moment of silence in the train station... and then, a familiar voice greeted her from behind.

-- WACAAA!!

Chomper was quickly pushed away in time just when he was going to chew another of her pigtails.

-- Hohoho! HOHOHO!

{ ~ * 🌸 * ~   Cagney? Huh, nice name. However she didn’t get to process the new information for long since this Cagney person had just elbowed Venus. She flinched and looked over as the smaller plant fell into the bushes. Ouch… i-is she gonna be okay? She frowns a little bit.

As Carrie looked away from the bush and back at Cagney, she seemed to be visually off put by his change in appearance, as she hadn’t expect his face to just… shift like that. Nonetheless, she did her best to keep cool. This was fine, yeah! She’s seen flowers contort their faces into more scary looking things anyways… If all he did was make his nose more pointy and his eyes more furrowed, than it’d be fine. Good thing she doesn’t know about his final form.

“Well… I don’t do much but, I like to make tea at my place, watch tv, dance, take care of my tulip, and-” 

She cut herself off upon fully processing what he had said. Jump-scaring people? Well that’s…. mean. He outghta be really good at it too… due to his size and ability to change face. And if he was attempting to scare her when he first spoke to her while she was looking through the field, it did work pretty well. 

“True colors?”

“Whaddya mean like… like, your face lookin’ different?”

Hopefully he was referring to his face, and not some sort of… hidden violent and/or mean personality.   ~ ✧ﾟ･: * 🌸 ✧ﾟ･: * ~ }

-- Hah, not only my pretty face, bud. I gotta admit I’m not as friendly as I was with you. You can ask all my other lil plant friends.

-- But you know? Since you were accepted by the flowers, I had no reason to be aggressive! Plus, I like you! You are kind of funny and... pink! Hah, be thankful I wasn’t in the mood for fighting!

Because fightng people was the easy way to make friends! Or at least that’s how it works for him. Talking was harder, especially with strangers...

-- Huh... he knows how to have fun... and... be aggressive... that counts as a personality trait? But there’s also...! Well... they are into worshipping... and be cryptic.

{ ~ * 🌸 * ~   She nods shakily, dizzy swirls in her eyes “Yeah…yea, I’m all good.” she says, trying not to stammer too much. She couldn’t help but glance over in the direction the small polka-dotted plant was thrown, they weren’t hurt, right? Well… as long as they didn’t die or anything then, it should be fine. (Besides, she could always patch up any ouchies if they had gotten any, which hopefully wasn’t the case)

Her eye trailed off until she saw the bite mark Chomper left behind on her pigtail, she instantly flinched. “AH!- W-well that’s fine. It’s just a petal it’ll repair itself yeahit’llbefine…” she sighs.

“…..”

“Thanks… for… helpin’ me out, Cags. Th-that’s your name right…? Cags? I-I hope I got that right…”

She always appreciated acts of kindness (well, even if said acts involved casually throwing a tiny plant away) and the fact he showed concern for her was sweet too, so naturally, it made her cheeks turn a bright, rosy shade.   ~ ✧ﾟ･: * 🌸 ✧ﾟ･: * ~ }

What a cute little cherry blossom, especially when her cheeks turn even pinker.

-- Cags is how everyone calls me! My actual name is Cagney Carnation! As you can see, prettiest flower in the country! Don’t you think?

The big carnation tries to strike a “cute” pose to make a point, it didn’t go as expected, unfortunately, as he ended elbowing Venus by accident and throwing her into some flowery bushes.

Good jod, carnation. No one will doubt of your “cuteness” aftet that embarrasing display.
