Archaeology is a sub-discipline of anthropology in the states. Most schools only offer anthropology degrees, since there is some overlap between the other disciplines: cultural anthropology, physical anthropology, and anthropological linguistics. Also keep in mind the anthropological archaeology isn't the major if you're looking to make a great deal of money especially if you're only have a Bachelors. Opportunities with an anthropological archaeology degree are usually better with a Masters or a Dr. If you go into this field I will suggest to study other fields/ skills to make yourself more marketable such an as surveying techniques, mapping skills (GIS) , soil Sciences, preservation, historical research, human osteology, etc. .
