I played Rune Factory 4 and LOVED it. And then I started getting burnt out on it. And then a little later I played Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, and I really really liked it. But then I started getting burnt out on it. I also played the original Harvest Moon on SNES and it was a great time! And I actually finished it! But by the end, I was burnt out on the farming and life sim genre as a whole.
Anyway, I'm craving it again, but I feel like I'd be so lost if I jumped back into Rune Factory 4 or Friends of Mineral Town again after all this time, and my mind voice keeps telling me to just start a different one. Maybe Rune Factory 3 or 5 if I want the action RPG stuff too, but also maybe Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. At the same time, I feel some regret for abandoning RF4 before seeing the end of the story, even though I can't remember any of it. I remember I got to the credits, and it seemed like the game was over, but then there was more, and the internet told mev that I was actually only 1/3 of the way done, and that the game has two fakeout "endings" where the credits roll before the real ending.
I dunno. I'm not sure what to do, really. Should I go back to RF4 and try to refresh my memory about which townspeople I'm close with, who they are and what they've told me about their lives, what kinds of experiences we've been through together, what they like and dislike, and what's going on in the main story? Or should I just start clean and fresh with one of the other games?
Help me decide. What should I do??
Finish Rune Factory 4

The Danish training ship “Georg Stage” (1934) dresses in rainbow colour, 2021
not the kind of gay ship I’m used to seeing on tumblr but cool
ship georg is an outlier but SHOULD be counted
I really wish this ship was a schooner instead of being full-rigged so I could call it Schooners Georg 😞
Playing Hi-Fi Rush again. So fucking good. I wonder what it would even take to get a sequel made? Who even owns the rights now?
WAIT TANGO GAMEWORKS WAS BOUGHT AND REVIVED BY ANOTHER PUBLISHER AND HI-FI RUSH 2 IS OFFICIALLY IN DEVELOPMENT?!
Tango Gameworks had a six-month old build of a Hi-Fi Rush sequel when the studio was acquired by Krafton back in August.

How do they always know exactly what I'll like??
“Ghosts are real” I can see how you could believe that
“Ghosts aren’t real” it’s very fair and rational that you believe that
“Ghosts aren’t real anymore” I’m about to hear a poem or very sad story
“Ghosts aren’t real yet” the fuck are you going to do
Spending some quality time with the boy

Being overly-familiar with a series is such a weird burden sometimes because like
you’ll see some theory being passed around that you instantly know is wrong. Like it’s surprising to see people supporting it because the flaws in its logic are so glaringly obvious. Until it hits you that, yeah it’s wrong, but only because you were able to immediately remember the 5 second conversation between two background characters 17 minutes through s2e13 that definitively disproves it. And no casual fan would have any reason to remember that off the top of their head and it’s you who’s the weird human encyclopedia with a shot-for-shot memory the entire damn series.
Like at that point you don’t even know anymore whether to argue your point or just…maybe go outside for a little bit.
"Sea" is pronounced like "see." That means "Seattle" must be pronounced "seetle"
@an0nymz In response to your tags, this was a cord used to hook up a PlayStation or PlayStation 2, with RCA heads on one end, and that rectangular head on the other end. It could also be used with a PS3, but PS3 also had an HDMI output, so most people used that.
That is cool! I only ever had Playstation 3 and 4, so no wonder I’ve never seen that before!
Here’s a closer look
I’d show you the whole cable, but I’ve got things set up in a pretty specific way, and dissembling it would be a pain…
Holy F UCK
@secretsaresilly do you record videos? That’s about the only reason I could think of for having a mass of that many cords. On another note the GameCube had something similar but the metal was plastic and it could be used with every console before it.
Hey look!! It’s my old retro gaming setup! My new one is even crazier, but it’s also significantly messier.
I'm watching As Above, So Below (2014) and there are a lot of things I like about it, but some of it is just. So stupid. Like the poem they translate from Aramaic, and it just happens to rhyme perfectly in English? Or the whole "ptolemaic hinge" thing, they definitely just made that up. The actual horror of it is great though. The setting is so claustrophobic, I almost wonder how they even shot this movie. Apparently it was actually filmed in the real Paris Catacombs, so that's pretty cool. Also, Perdita Weeks is pretty 🙂↕️
You should all read Clinic of Horrors. It takes a minute to get going, the first 45 chapters are mostly episodic bits of world building and character development, only a few panels long. But then when the story gets going, you won't be able to put it down. I hope this gets turned into an anime one day
In a strange city, there is a clinic that will treat the victims of horrific diseases. For a price.

I had a dream about somebody I know, but have have seen face. From Internet. Also got lost between universes at an interdimensional airport and movie theater, watched my mom marvel at a modern graphing calculator, slept in a car with a bunch of people on a road trip where we were all cats, and got arrested for watching Disney movies in the wrong order. It's been an eventful night.
