It’s around that time of year when kids start getting letters of being waitlisted, rejection and deferment. Just wanted to say hang in there– not everyone’s collegiate path is a strict linear progression. Taking gap years, transferring, going to your ‘B’or ‘C’ school, etc– they’re all completely valid ways to self-discovery and getting to where you want to be. From my own experience, things have a way of working out in the weirdest ways. Just keep your head up & mind open and don’t give up.

I hate all those movies that are about a white girl who’s different and quirky and gets along better with guys and she’s not like other girls cause she can throw a football and likes comic books cause it makes it seem like girls in general lack complexity and you’re either a boring prom queen or a giant Tom boy or huge geeky nerd and it’s really offensive to girls!!!! We are all complex and interesting and have many interests and talents!!!

Movie idea: a transgender girl gets kicked out of her home. She meets a group of girls on the street including a hardcore butch lesbian, a flirty bisexual, a smart pansexual, and a quiet ace. Together these girls use money, resources, and whatever they can find to create a homeless shelter for LGBTQ youth who are kicked out of their homes.
