A key rule for writing a short Tumblr post that gets noticed is to keep it punchy and relatable. Tumblr thrives on snappy, witty content that feels personal, conversational, and often slightly offbeat. I guess the rule I would write would read be direct, but inject personality: Start with a strong, attention-grabbing statement or question. Use a casual, authentic tone, as if you're talking to a friend. Whether it’s humor, relatable frustration, or an unexpected observation, make sure the voice feels like you — not an edited version of you. Short, funny, or thought-provoking lines paired with a quirky twist tend to stand out. This type of post captures attention, sparks engagement, and feels natural to the platform.

Long podcasts appeal to listeners because they offer in-depth exploration of topics, foster host-audience connections, and create immersive experiences. Audiences (including myself) appreciate the depth, storytelling, and routine of longer episodes, which fit well with multitasking. Creators engage listeners through dynamic pacing, varied segments, relatable personalities, and consistent content. Effective storytelling, audience interaction, and the use of hooks maintain interest throughout. By balancing depth with accessibility and providing regular content, long podcasts can build a loyal following and keep listeners coming back for more.

Another question I have is not related to the assignment directly, I did not realize that for our peer review posts last week, we had to make 3 separate requests for feedback. I am having the same trouble this week because it says that we need 3 peer reboots but there is no number of request posts. So I guess to put it simply, do we need 3 requests for help this week? (I did send this question in a direct message, but I thought it would be helpful to post publicly as well because other people might benefit from the answer!)

The show that broke me when it was canceled was Shameless. There was this raw, chaotic energy, and I was invested in every single character, even when they were at their worst. When it ended, it felt like losing a dysfunctional family I’d grown so attached to. The Gallaghers’ wild ride—Frank’s antics, Fiona’s growth, Lip’s struggles—was like an emotional rollercoaster you didn’t want to get off. But then, that final season hits, and it’s like a punch to the gut. You wish for just one more season, one more moment, but it’s gone. That empty feeling is real when a show you love ends.

My audience will influence the design of my HTWG because as I have been researching each of these creators, I have seen some of the content they produce, and I will be taking inspiration. Not from the content in their videos per se, but the teaching content that they have produced have given me many ideas on how to set up my HTWG. Additionally, as a student in the teacher preparation program, I am going to use the things I have learned along the way to make my design appealing and engaging for my “students” (audience).

I collected a lot of data as I was analyzing my creators. In some way, all of the data will matter in my space. I have not solidified my research question yet, that is a big reason as to why all of the data will be important to me. I am trying to analyze likes and content over time and that is not a good fit for this project, so Instead I need to craft a question that uses the data I was able to collect to answer it.

The most relevant thing about my audience is that they are teacher creators. All of the creators that I chose to follow tend to post content that is and is not related to teaching, but they still get interaction on unrelated posts. The platform I followed them on is TikTok, so my How to Write Guide will focus on how to create relevant videos as well as captions and hashtags to draw in their target audience. It is important to note that only one of the creators that i followed works full time in a classroom, one of them is part time, and the other is taking a break to raise her daughter. All of them have some experience in the classroom and only one of them currently is not active in a classroom.
