All Willow could do was nod, anyone who lived in Gotham longer than a week could tell you at least one gorified story. Only time would tell, even with Batman’s best interest. Her head shook at Tim’s next comment, her heading tilting up more-so to look at him now that she was standing. “No need to be sorry, I really don’t mind the company to be frank..” She chuckled lightly before clearing her throat & speaking again, “Besides, tonight got a little chilly on me.” 

She shook her head when he spoke again, though from now on Willow would keep an extra close ear out for his name. Tim. It sounded like a more familiar name from the halls, but she hadn’t paid attention enough to tell him every detail. “Nothing wrong with a little worry, this is Gotham after all.” The ginger shrugged casually. She turned her form to bring her legs back to the roofs surface, stretching out her arms as the chilly air brushed her back. 

A giggle left her lips at his comment on her name. “Precisely,” She approved. By the way he was talking, it sounded like he was some form of emergency tech or cop... odd hours and restless nights because of an unbalanced work schedule. She didn’t want to question it, she just met him after-all. “Not in a bad way. The old woman in 32A worries about you some nights, or Frank upstairs will wonder where you’re at.” Willow shrugged nonchalantly.

She chuckled warmly at his comment, Willow really couldn’t deny the fact though. She was up here a lot of nights, then again it was better than attempting to even get through one street of Gotham before getting robbed. “Willow,” She murmured to him softly, clasping her hands together as she placed them between her squeezing thighs. “I don’t see you a whole lot either, Tim. Especially with how many people talk about you in the halls,” She smirked to herself as her eyes lingered on the city ahead of them. 

Willows eyes fixed themselves on him as he spoke, eventually her eyebrows scrunched with curiosity the more he continued on. “Are you usually on rooftops this late? That’s a little dangerous.” She questioned with a teasing tone, she did. Even at her old complex building before her move to this one. “Not too long, this is my second month here coming up.” Willow told him warmly, biting her lip at the urge to ask for his name or even the same question in return. 

“I don’t see why not,” She began as her teeth showed slightly from her small smile while shifting in her seat. “Personally, I feel like there are more people looking at the stars outside of Gotham..” Willow trailed off before looking toward Tim momentarily. “You can’t see them through the thick layer of pollution hanging over us, y’know? Not unless you’re lucky enough to snatch a roof.” The redhead snickered.

Willow simply nodded at his response and turned her head to face the sky again. His voice filled the air again just when she thought he’d left — or simply walked elsewhere onto the roof. But his questions made a weak smirk pull at the corner of her mouth. “A little bit of both.” She admitted as her eyes had already been staring at the sky’s ‘Big Dipper’.

it’d been another ruthless night battling with her insomnia, so willows legs were now hanging off the top of her apartment complex’s building as she gazed at the stars above. it wasn’t a rare occurrence, actually more of a frequent one — to see the young woman patiently absorbing the space alone of a knitted blanket wrapped around her form. tonight happened to be a rather chilly night, which caused her to pull one knee to her chest and snuggle closer with the fabrics comfort.
