I need advice as a baby punk

Alrt so i really like the band anti- flag and I want to make a patch but as everyone should do before i get really into something i look up “—— allegations” and what I found out is that the lead singer Sane is a vile piece of shit so bad that the band broke up and he fled the country to get away from the legal shit. Is there a way I can still make a wear a patch for the band and still make it very clear I don’t support him or should I just not even bother.
