We need to talk about something thatβs too often ignored: boys and men can be victims of sexual abuse too. It happens more than people think, just less than people talk about. Too many boys grow up in silence, carrying confusion, shame or fear because theyβve been taught that what happend to them βdoesnβt countβ, or that they should have been strong enough to stop it.
But pain doesnβt care about gender. Sexual abuse is never the victimβs fault. Being male doesnβt make someone immune to harm. It doesnβt make the experieneces less real, less painfull, or less damaging. And it doesnβt take away their right to be believed, supported, and taken seriously.
If you are a boy or man who has been through this: you are not alone. What happend to you matters. You deserve to be heard, to heal, and to be treated with compassion and respect.
