This blog is a roleplay blog for the Decepticon flagship, the Nemesis. My muse uses it/its pronouns (like it’s wiki does, actually) or he/him on occasion. It also uses several deployers as mouthpieces, it’s most favored one being a Vehicon flier, usually referred to as Wings or Jet when Nemesis isn’t using them to speak or run errands/explore. This is the form that Nemesis uses to greet anyone not living within it, unless otherwise stated.

Whirl has been asked to come for a visit. Nemesis has missed it's newest child oh so much. So much in fact that this visit is decided to be the perfect time to introduce it's oldest children to it's youngest, so by the time Whirl gets "home" to the nursery room that holds the cuddle pit and living quarters of the deployers, there's a stranger waiting for the coptermech.

Giant, with six arms all tipped in giant, powerful claws, a sharply pointed, thick frame covering in heavy duty armor and long, thin spines. There are four sets of flat, rectangle shaped wings made from the glittering glass of a satellite. A long, flat tail in a similar material is curled neatly around xyr loafing frame, and four bright red optics sit upon a large, angular head.

Audial fins on the side of xyr helm fan out as xe spots Whirl, and a horrifying maw of blades and teeth slowly opens as xe hisses softly.

In a disembodied voice, as always when Nemesis is not in it's holoform, it introduces the two. "Whirl, meet your oldest sibling, Vision - I believe your other sibling, Glass, is in the cuddle pit catching up with Jet and Mini, if you'd like to meet him as well. Vision, this is Whirl."

A slightly angrier hiss, and that giant frame stiffens and starts to shift, claws scraping over the flooring; xe very much looks like a cat about to pounce.

The Nemesis is confused for a moment with this message, but then shrugs the notion off and audibly purrs, the sound a deep and growling rumble.

"Not many deem a warship beautiful. Lethal, horrific, perhaps, but not beautiful. May I help you, or are you simply here to flirt?"

There's an excited buzz in the nursery. The deployers skitter about, tidying things up and chittering to each other, making quite a ruckus until Jet tells them to calm down. Things settle for a moment, though the tension is still there.

After a while, there's a loud creak. A rarely used bay door sliding open, the footsteps of an incredibly large mecha - and then a hand reaches into Void's tube nest to grab a leg and pull the newest sibling out into the open. Ze will find zirself under a large mech, a good ninety feet tall, with six thick arms and a pair of strong, powerful digigrade legs. Xe is using one of those big, clawed hand to hold onto zir, though xe lets go of zir leg to flatten xyr hand over Void's frame.

Glass-Wing (just goes by Glass most of the time, uses both he/him and she/her pronouns interchangeably): a 42 foot tall seeker-mimic, has gone beyond mimicking mecha and usually prefers to look like himself. Has one main set of arms, and a very small secondary set that stay curled in close to his chest. His chest is completely made of glass and seems to be full of pure acid, and his spark chamber is there as well, but is obscured by a thick black liquid to be a layer of protection from the acid. He himself is acid proof. He can walk both bipedal and quadrupedal, but usually does the former.

[REDACTED] (real name is unknown, xe never used it, only known as either Vision or Vis, uses she/they or xe/xyr/xyrself pronouns) is the other one, a 90 foot tall space shuttle with satellite-glass wings and an array of communication spines all along xyr back. Xe has six arms, and oddly-bending legs that allow xyr to walk low to the ground like a large cat or up on xyr two legs. Xyr usually choose the former, as its easier for xyr to move that way.

TRUE FACT:

When a deployer goes far enough away from the Nemesis, the carrier-deployer bond will snap/break and start fading away. If they get back quickly enough, the bond can be re-established, otherwise the bond vanishes and becomes something like a broken link.

A hole in the back of their mind, where Nemesis would have once been, speaking to them on a level so deep that one with a broken bond feels as if they've become hollow and empty.

With carried or kindled deployers (like Jet, Crawler, Blade, etc. who were all created and carried as newsparks in Nemesis's spark chamber and gestation tanks) the broken bond isn't that big of a deal. It hurts, sure, but over time it is just another scar that they live with and sometimes even brag about surviving; they can also rekindle the bond with Nemesis if they so wished to. Most go on to live normal lives as normal (albeit semi-horrifying) mecha.

However, a reformated deployer (like Mini) will die once the bond is snapped. The pain is so intense it can immobilize them, and eventually they starve to death, or the spark gives out underneath the massive pressure of the broken link. They can live for maybe a few months, a year or two, without the bond if they can power through the first waves of pain, but eventually because of the reformation process, the spark will sputter out anyway.

Mini almost had it happen to them. They described the pain as if their spark chamber was being slowly crushed from the inside out, internals melting and glass cracking. Once they got back to Nemesis, there was no physical damage at all, but it still took years for Mini to fully recover.

TRUE FACT number one:

Jet has no traditional optics, despite his main mimicry form (seeker Vehicon) having a visor, and others having optics (which are false and just glass). However, he still has a visual feed, can still see people, and can even differentiate colors better than most. He even acts as if he can see his siblings getting up to no good behind his back - why?

Because all of his biolights are not biolights, but one giant optical band, or his "elongated eye squiggle" as Crawler as dubbed it. He basically has 360 vision. It's what makes him such a terrifying hunter, as he almost never loses sight of his prey, no matter what way they run.

TRUE FACT number two:

The first step in the process of converting a normal mech into a deployer is to literally rip out the processor and spark in order to reformat the frame and rewire the processor to accept the Nemesis as the creator and mothership.
