• What should you expect here?

TSBIT quotes, random TSBIT thoughts, posts, etc. Also rabbit thoughts. I will post headcanons, repost others, and have a blog for people to flock to for their daily dose of trans extestential dread™️

• What even IS TSBIT?

Well its a book by a very cool author! It contains a lot of shenaniganery from the 1800s, so please proceed with caution when reading! It is not something you wanna skip the Letter from Author on for sure.

• Who is Silas Bell???

The trans and autistic main character of TSBIT, who has a metaphorical rabbit in his chest representing his fears. Aspiring surgeon (whom actually becomes one) with a gorgeous wifey. Definition of "i miss my wife tails" by mid-book lol.

Hi hi hey hello hi!!!! My first favorite color is Yellow!!! Thank you for asking:3 its kinda funny to me because my sister hates the color yellow and it also doesnt match my aesthetic very well . I dress very gothic (im afraid to call myself goth because of alt police honestly) and most of my clothes are black or red. Plus i am legit a vampire so, liking yellow is kinda weird. Ive ranted a lot for being asked my fav color lol, mb mb.

Tldr; Yellow!!! Even tho its very unfitting for me.

Also i need to actually make an intro post for a vampire blog i am making but i need to finish all my other shit first..

Well, to get out of the way, my least favorite aspects were Veil sickness and the rather unnecessary amount of time spent on womens afflictions. Men born men tend to fixate on women and their bodies and how they are "more susceptible to illness of the mind". It irritates me and i had to keep quiet about it. It was also irritating how i was expected to care more about veil sickness, as a medium myself.

However, my favorite aspect was all the time spent on proper surgical techniques, and i appreciated the (albiet very recent) attention to proper sanitization. Taking time to loon at James Barry was also extremely fun, even if many of the men had unfavorable opinions of him.

In short, I enjoyed surgical techniques and disliked the attention to veil sickness– and womens weaknesses.

To be straight with you, it terrifies me. It is confusing and overall horrifying to think that I, in 1883 london, can communicate with someone as far into the future as Benjamin. Where 2019 is "vintage" and "classic". That is over one hundred years from myself. However, many things about my life are incredibly confusing and contradictory. Miles has ghosts of his own, Crane has aliens, and Benjamin has a deadly virus. None of them have the veil or violet eyes. The mailbox is the least of my concerns. Even in its inherent horror, i find it facinating how people communicate with me. People such as yourself are more formal, while others write brash and frankly insane- ironic as it is.

There are many positives to this magick. People are quite lovely in the future, i have come to realize. They are very curious about me in a way that doesnt feel dehumanizing or patronizing. Along with that, the other "main characters" (as i have learned to call them) are similar to me. They understand me in ways that many others havent. Ways that only daphne has been able to understand, and more. They understand my boyhood and my otherness and my oddities and dont find my interest in medicinal surgery insane.

In short, yes it horrifies me but i assure you i find it delightful.

My, so many questions about Daphne.. she is alright. She had an outing with the girls yesterday and today we went and saw Mary, Agnes, and her boy Adam. I am both frightened and delighted by the interest in my wife. As for myself, I am well. Edinburgh Medical Journal published a very interesting paper regarding Veil Sickness. Something that surprised me was that it questioned the existence of the sickness, which is incredibly rare. I wonder if the anti speakers have reached the papers.. regardless, thank you for the letter. It is well recieved, i promise.

Why thank you! Daphne is quite lovely, isn't she? Daphne is the light of my life, aside from my own children of course.

After some careful consideration (and some research, asking around to the other main characters, etc). I enjoy both! But I have to say that yuri holds a special place in my heart. Two women who are, against all odds, in love is truly warming. Women in my time find themselves in a very oppressive position, and i have found myself underneath it. My wife has started getting a taste as well. So for two people who are expected to find men and be subservient to rebel against that in both ends– that is incredible. I am also biased because of my good friend Mary and her wife.

My own wife is a fan of Yaoi and has taken a good liking to it– not to say she only likes yaoi. But even after conferring, i would have to say my heart lies in yuri.

In short, both! But I enjoy yuri a tiny bit more.

The rabbit is still around, yes, and he is still very rude to me. However, over the years, i have gotten better at... ignoring him? It is still very annoying and he still affects me sometimes but I am more firm in my desires. Who I am, what I want, who I love, and other things of the sort have become much harder to negate. Especially with Daphne around to remind me when it is Especially Difficult, or when I have a bad day. I also understand who he is and that he exists simply to bring out the worst of my psyche. I know that he is normal, and while the rabbit is quite extreme at times, he is not an accurate representation of myself.

I have also realized everyone else has their own "rabbit". When i started talking to Daphne about the rabbit, she started talking to me about her own nervous thoughts. She has affectionately called hers a bat. It is something that shows up when she least needs it and shrieks in short bursts. Through the day it may stare her down or chirp a little, but it isnt until the dead of night when it bombards her. I understand the sentiment, she sometimes will shake me awake to check on the children, and its because that calms the bats. I enjoy that euphemism. I usually dont like metaphors or such things because they are confusing and it is much better to say what you mean. However, this makes it easier to talk about, and it is easy for me to understand and explain. Eventually we will teach the girls about this, and they will get to name their own fears. Maybe we can teach Mary of this. She might find some comfort.

In short, the rabbit is still here and he is still an "asshole" but i have my ways to deal with him and i have people to help me keep him tucked away.

I originally did not understand this ask but I assume you are speaking of Miles, Benjamin, and Crane. Perhaps the upcoming Morgan as well? I doubt they would like it very much if i pushed my skill onto them, along with them existing farther into the future than I can grasp. I believe Crane out of all of them would do good with my knowledge, but he would definitely refuse to take it.

In short, I might if i could, although they would not like it.
