I dunno, it feels so rare to have a touch-averse character in general especially one that's a gay man. Kinda bums me out that people don't do more to explore other forms of expressing love or admiration with Eddie that DON'T involve being super duper touch related, or hell even explore WHY he might find it uncomfortable.

I hated the jcc fandom when the whole thing about Bones's accidental stereotypical representetion of LATAM was brought up and some fans of the english speaking side of the community would just dismiss all of the post of the LATAM fans explaining why they felt the way they did.

Like I saw a post arguing about how it was on meant to be like that because jcc is a critic to social media? When it's clear it wasn't the case, because we have a wide cast, with diferent backgrounds, personalities and nacionalities to have representation??

And there has been times where I would wonder if anyone of the SIG team was aware this was happening at all? because there was never a public explanation (that I'm aware of), and that's odd to me.

But at the same time I didn't want to ask because I feel that I'm overstepping as I'm not from LATAM.

But the whole thing just feels off. Like don't get me wrong, I love SIG and all of their games, but if you are going to have the characters speak in their first lenguage use a human traslator to make sure everything is fine with the traslation.

Anyways, I hope it gets fixed in the next jcc update, and that this makes the SIG team be more careful when it comes to the future of JCC and their unrelesed games.

And I know that Jcc isn't complete and that we still have to actually get to know the characters better.

And if you feel unconfortable with this being brought up again, just ignore/delate it.

Now, I understand that since Rody is unreliable narrator, and that the vision of the creators was probably to make something feel off. Like, why isn't Manon aswering his calls? And stuff like that, until you get the reveal that Vince killed her.

But we could mantein Rody being unreliable and in denial, like there's games like CF, where you get the flashback of how Agustine and Winnie met, or some sort of context like in EH, EC, RIP and JCC. And you still feel lost, because you are in the protagonist shoes, and usually the protagonists are in surreal/horror situations.

So, if the whole Manon cutscene breaking up/taking a break with her relation with Rody was at the start, people wouldn't have been so quirk to jump at her, specially when the game first relased.

The main reason I think this is due to the difference beetween how Myeong-hoon and Manon were treated when their respective games came out, of course we can't fully compare them, as Manon is a character that haunts the narrative, meanwhile, Myeong-hoon is a character that's present and helps with the narrative.

But still, the fandom reaction was way diferent with Myeong-hoon, because we got to actually met him, people still said that he was in the way of the wlw ship, but there was people defending him.

In short: I think that if the cutscene was at the start there wouldn't have been that much of a debate whenever or not Manon was cruel, selfish ,goldiger, etc. Because yes, she IS flawed, but so are other characters.

But maybe that's just me.
