"viva o maoismo" when neither the PCB or PCdoB are maoists (both are nominally Marxist-Leninist orgs)

And y'know, I've seen this one before. About 20 years ago, when the "Greatest Generation" was too old to safely drive anymore, we had the exact same conversation. It was a running joke on Fark about how often octogenarians were accidentally ramming through farmer's markets and store fronts. "Another senior, same mistake, doo-dah, doo-dah! Accelerate instead of brake, oh the doo-dah day!"

What was done about it? Well, mostly some handwringing, some talk of maybe imposing mandatory driver's tests for people past a certain age, and so on.

Absolutely nobody seemed to promote actually solving the problem: Our car-dependent society. Americans drive cars until they drop dead because they really don't have a choice. So we just sorta agreed to kick the can down the road.
