A/N: Maslenitsa is an important holiday for much of Eastern Europe, especially the former USSR, symbolizing the transition from winter to spring. It lasts seven days and is celebrated a week before the start of Lent in the Orthodox Church. It is celebrated not only by christians, but also by atheists and followers of other religions (at least from what I've seen among some Muslim families in Central Asian countries). Overall, it has no particular religious significance, and even before the Slavs adopted Christianity, it was a pagan holiday. It includes a variety of fun activities for each day. I'll try to outline everything, dividing it into several posts for convenience (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)
