“I’ll take that favor now, Techno,” Dream said.

Tommy looked questioningly at Techno. Techno glared straight into Dream’s eyes. Dream met Techno’s stare but gestured his eyebrows at Tommy.

Techno shook his head. “That favor isn’t worth two canon lives. I can spare yours, or take Tommy’s, but not both.”

Dream continued staring in silence, not even blinking. After a few seconds, he finally spoke up. “…Spare me.”

Tommy glanced over at Dream, then back at Techno. Techno and Dream kept staring at each other for what seemed like hours to Tommy.

Techno took a deep, slow breath, before sheathing his sword.

“Very well then. My debt is paid.”

He turned around and walked away.

“Incidentally, Tommy doesn’t owe you anything.”
