Yeah, somehow I still have all of my limbs. To be fair, I did make the choice to buy a place here. I suppose I forgot how some New Yorkers can be.

That’s good to hear! you would have a good reason to sue if you had lost any. New Yorkers need to chill out a bit. At least overall it’s a good place to hae a home in.

Well it’s definitely still New York, nearly got ran over by a taxi trying to get to the ice cream shop.

Seriously? Are you okay? Some people need to watch where they’re going.

Control. he had no control over this. He knew that he could talk to her about it and tell her everything, but she still had all the say in this. Once she found out about the reason he was gone for 16 months, it could be the reason why she never lets Jaxon in his daughter life. But he knew he couldn’t lie to her about it. He had to be straight up honest, no matter the results of it. He pushed all the negative thoughts away, just having his mind on his daughter. 

His taxi pulled up to Macy’s home. He walked up to he front door, not sure how this was going to go. He didn’t want to have his hopes up too high. He played with the small chip that sat in his wallet, reminding himself why he got cleaned. It was for her, their future family that he wanted. He slipped the chip back into his wallet, placing the wallet in his back pocket before he lifted his hand and knocked on the door. A million thoughts going through his mind as he waited.

Yes, I’m back. Just so you know, she won’t be here when you come over. 

That’s fine, I’ll be there soon.

I didn’t think I had to since you left. Do you realize how much pain you caused me? Heartache? That changed when you left, Jaxon. 

I had to leave, Macy. You were going to get hurt whether or not I didn’t. It’s a long story, are you back? Can I come over? Can we talk?

You weren’t in the beginning so why now? 

You didn’t tell me about her. I didn’t know about her. If you would have told me, I probably would’ve came back to New York a lot sooner than I had. I’ve always wanted kids with you, Mace. That’s never changed.

“That makes sense,  yeah people   can steal the woman replied. Rachel put the money on the belt to give the cashier. “Well have a good day”

   “They can steal.” he said as his thing got rang up, paying for everything before he grabbed the mixture of food and baby items. “You too,” Jaxon said before he headed out of the store.

“that’s probably smart” she said back   with a slight smile.  being a talk show host Rachel knew everything about everyone.  “I’m Rachel, don’t think we have met”

“It’s way too easy to lose. I hate carrying it around,” Jaxon mentioned, as his things got pushed up closer to the till, moving closer. It was ratehr busy for being as late as it was. “I’m Jaxon.” the Australian replied.

She took a sip of her drink and continued to just stare at him. She wanted to just leave, she had better things to do - like go home and play with her baby, play dress up with her baby, go shopping with her baby - but, she was stuck here in Starbucks. Hearing his words, she let out a breath and looked down at Chloe and smiled. Grabbing her things, she started for the door she stepped outside and seen him. “You think I am scared. You’re a runner, a judge will see that. From the looks of it, you don’t seem stable. So, on that note, I’m going home, don’t follow me.” 

When he asked his question, she stayed quiet. She knew whose baby it was, but when she found out she was pregnant they had already broken off their relationship and she didn’t see no point in telling him since he left and left the country. Her heart broken, she took the baby and left for Tennessee to be with family for the first few months then moved back to New York. “Yea, she’s yours. But you left so your name isn’t on the birth certificate… so you were just a sperm donor.” Macy said sarcastically. Still pissed off, she gave the other a short smile.
