In honour of Hamilton releasing on Disney+ tomorrow let’s not forget that even though the show depicts your favourite characters as slavery-opposing people, many of them did, in fact, own slaves, or were involved in the slave trade in one way or another.

It’s important to discern the fictional from the real, especially now during a global civil rights movement. Especially during a show about revolution. Don’t forget that these characters were also very real, pretty bad people.
