Eclectic Ramblings

Ok, so I”m working my way through HP again - on audible this time, which I am loving! It’s like encountering the stories through a whole new medium.  Anyway, the insane abilities of Madam Pompfrey have stuck out this time.  I mean, think about it - besides dealing with the usual injuries and illness, Poppy cleans up the messes that underage witches and wizards get themselves into.  Not only by incorrectly attempting their homework, but by flat out experimenting. 

AND! According to Chamber of Secrets, Ron says that she doesn’t ask many questions (such as when you become a partial cat from a botched polyjuice potion attempt).  How is that possible?  If I were her, I’d need some info to figure out how to fix it.  It’s like treating a patient without taking a complete history.  Her diagnostic skills have got to be on point.  Because sure, there are standard outcomes from spells gone wrong, but what about the students who are making it up as they go along (you know who I mean *cough*Fred&George*cough*).  That’s not by the book at all!

And yet, she’s always been relegated to a tertiary character, similar to Madam Pince.  Not a lot of depth.  But when I think about it now - she’d be the most hilarious person to go for drinks with (because of course you’d need some wine before she would start sharing her confidential stories).

Well, this is it.  GOOD BYE WORLD!!  Hello Tumblr!  I’ve given in.  I’ve spent hours and hours reading tumblr screenshots on Pinterest, and I finally decided that I wanted to be able to throw my opinions, witty comments, and rants into the ring.
