Lu Guang being a total fish out of water at the Qiao family dinner table, haha. He was so awkward it was very delightful. In this AU, Xiaoshi has a close relationship with Qiao Ling's folks he really is straight up adopted. Which leads us to The Earthquake Arc. Didn't think in a million years I'd be drawing Chen Xiao, and yet. In this version of events, he's been having trouble getting the film out of the camera, which is what Lu Guang is dealing with in the dark room. However, Chen Xiao has a trauma response to attempting to look at the photos once he gets them which is why he's sitting on the street dejectedly. Lu Guang's the one taking a proactive role reaching out to him (and knowing how to fix a camera...), which I think is interesting. It makes sense for this version of him since he's the one dealing with loss, andddd Xiaoshi doesn't really have any mommy issues to get paralleled—his mom is auntie Qiao. They're both getting tested in different ways than in the donghua! tl;dr the earthquake arc is getting repurposed it's time to deal with ptsd.
