Dadjo and sort of freshly adopted Megumi where Megumi doesn’t want to admit it, but he’s a homebody who’s attached to his home.
He gets invited to his first sleepover in kindergarten. Gojo is super excited and buys him a cute sleeping bag and a stuffy to take with him.
He’s chilling on the couch with Tsumiki around 11 Pm when he gets a call from the parent hosting the sleepover.
“Hello there, Mr. Fushiguro?”
“Ah, sorry, but I go by Gojo usually”
“Oh, well, I’m sorry to call this late, but I was wondering if you could come get Megumi?”
He sits up, motioning for Tsumiki to follow him by the door so they can get their shoes on. “I sure can! Is everything alright?”
“Yes, but it seems that he’s quite a bit homesick. You see, he’s been inconsolable for the last hour or so after the other kids went to bed. He’s the only one awake, would you like to speak to him?”
“Yes please.” Gojo has the phone under his chin on his shoulder while he ties Tsumikis shoes. “Megumi?”
“S-Satoru?” It breaks his heart hearing how shaky his voice is. If he could, he’d had warped to their house in a millisecond, but he’s learned the hard way how the kids need to understand distances rather than teleporting everywhere.
“Hey! I’ll be there in ten minutes to come take you home, alright? I promise it’ll be sooner than you know it, so make sure you don’t give Nobara-chan’s mom a hard time till I get there.”
He hears Megumi sniffle a bit before speaking. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright. You’re never a bother. I want you happy, so no more crying for me.”
“Ok. W-will Tsumiki be with you?”
“Yes she will.” Gojo smiles back at Tsumiki and nudges her to say hi.
“Alright Megs, pass the phone back to her mama please, remember, I’ll be there before you know it.”
And he does. He speeds through the streets and is able to make it there in 6 minutes instead of the usual 10.
Once they’re home, he makes them some hot chocolate and tucks them into their beds for some sleep in their own home.
He doesn’t think to look a gift horse in the mouth when he wakes up to them cuddled into his sides.
