Endless traffic jams weave through narrow streets, with jeepneys, motorcycles, and street vendors competing for space. The air is thick with noise—honking horns, vendors calling out, and the hum of daily life. Amid the hustle, a stark contrast of wealth and poverty unfolds, with gleaming high-rises shadowing crowded slums. Street children weave through cars, while the city's informal economy thrives in every corner. The chaos reflects the energy, resilience, and rawness of Manila's urban life.

People often seek refuge in air-conditioned spaces like malls, cafes, or public cooling centres set up by the city. Those without access to air conditioning, particularly vulnerable populations such as the elderly or homeless, face significant health risks, including heat exhaustion or heatstroke.
