HELLO!

I’ve done my monthly disappearing act and I’m back! Kinda…let me explain

Katsblr lowkey was just so chaotic and so was the overall Katseye community. Fuck HYBExGeffen btw, why is my girl Manon being fucked over??? It was a nightmare on all the social media platforms, the second it was announced she was going on hiatus and I saw what everyone was saying and how the public was reacting, I had to take a step back. I’ve also been busy with my productions and jobs. So to focus on my future and my crazy schedule, I disappeared from tumblr and the discord.

So what does this mean? Im back to participate in some of the great community events but I will be taking a step back from posting full stories until I can find the time and motivation to. Maybe I will continue doing headcanons for the industry reader universe? I’m not sure but, I’m kinda back and I missed you guys! Hope you guys understand the situation 🫶

BookofLife!Daniela Avanzini x reader

Summary: The Book of Life but make it gay and filipino 

The people and actions in this fic does not reflect real life in any way. The original story is not mine and is based off the movie. Small changes have been made but dialogue, action and plot can be credited to the original. 

Warnings: Uses Jonah David as a character, some tagalog and filipino folklore, character death (kinda)

Word Count: 2107

“Noo!” Alex cries out. “Y/N too?” 

“What is it with Filipinos and death?” Oscar complains. 

Manolo looks up to Mrs. Hiraya with a soft pout, “But it can’t end like this, can it?”

Mrs. Hiraya smiles softly and whispers to the class, “Oh my sweet child, no this is not the end.” 

*-*-*-*

Y/N’s eyes blink open as she slowly gets up from the ground. A deep groan slips through her lips as she feels the aches in her body stretch out as she stands up. She stumbles up against a tree, her hands catching herself before she fully tackles it. Y/N gasps at the sight. 

White, rough bones replace her once calloused hands. Her hands fly to touch her face as she feels the similar rock-like texture instead of her skin. She turns around, fireworks light the sky with the echoes of festive music and cheers reaching her ears. 

“What the-”   

The guitarist walks down the path towards the bright city. The music gets louder as the sound of laughter and joy mix with one another. Candles float around with white chrysanthemums poured all over the city. Balloons, banners and all sorts of decorations scatter across buildings. 

A man on a horse jumps right in front of her and loudly announces, “Welcome to the Land  of the Remembered!” 

Y/N’s smile almost splits her face, “I made it?”

“And on Undas, no less!” 

“Wait, wher- where is-” 

“You’re going to be a little disoriented at first so, don’t try to take it all in at first.” the man says. “My name is Son. Let’s start with your name.” 

“Daniela Avanzini!” Y/N immediately tells. 

“Really?” he flips through a small book of names. “There’s no Daniela Avanzini on my list.” 

“No, no. I’m looking for Daniela Avanzini. My name is Y/N Y/LN!”

Son gasps, “Another Y/LN. Man that family just keeps growing.” 

“My family! They’ll help me find Dani.” Y/N excitedly says. “Can you take me to them?”

“I would love nothing more than to reunite a young couple.” Son grabs her and pulls her onto his horse. “Just hold on.”  The horse starts running down a vertical, steep road. Y/N holds on with slight fear in her eyes until she looks around and sees the celebrations around her. Music is played everywhere with parties being thrown every way you look. She smiles and she watches a couple dance around together to the upbeat music. 

The horse stops near a ledge of a bridge that sits over the main road of the city. “Your family will be on that float.” Son points out as a large parade goes through the undead city. Before she can take in the beautiful sight of the bigger than life parade floats, Son pushes her over. 

“Wait!” Y/N yells as she falls. She grabs onto one of the banners and swings herself over to the float. As she releases herself from the banner, she flies through and is caught by strong hands. 

“Another Y/LN bullfighter!” a deep booming voice laughs. He puts her down. 

She looks up in awe. “You are the amazing Gabriel Y/LN.” 

“Yes! I was famous for fighting bulls without a cape!” Gabriel’s deep voice echoes with pride. “Capes are for cowards!” 

“Tito, can you help me find Daniela Avanzini?” her voice begs as she looks up to him. 

“Magwayen can help you, she helps everyone.” He picks her up and tosses her down the float. She screams but lands perfectly on her feet. Y/N looks around and finds herself on a pirate set of the float. As she looks up she sees a tall figure, jumping around on a foot and a wooden peg as a leg. 

“The great Angelica Y/LN!” she recognizes immediately. “Tita!”

“At your service!” she jumps down and pats your shoulders. “I was famous for fighting bulls with one arm and one leg. They're for cowards!”

Y/N laughs as her Tita swings around her sword for an arm. 

“You’re Y/N…the one with the guitar?” she asks. 

“Yes, Tita Angelica.”  “When I was younger, I always dreamt of singing in the opera.” 

“You did?” 

“But as you know…” 

The two imitate the proud saying together, “Music is not work fit for a Y/LN bullfighter.” The aunt and niece duo laugh, Y/LN’s somewhat bitterly. 

“They crushed our dreams…hilarious.” she says to her tita.

“Time to see your Lolo.” Angelica guides Y/N to ‘walk the plank.’ Y/N walks off with closed eyes. 

Gabriel and Angelica watch with proud smiles. “She reminds me of me…but less pretty obviously.”  Gabriel raises an eyebrow and shakes his head. 

Y/N lands onto a moving mechanical bull. Two others move towards the center where an older man stands with a cape and sword adorned by his side. He stands tall with his chest puffed up. 

“Lolo?” her voice low as she gets off the bull. 

The tall figure turns and a soft, comforting smile appears on his face. “Y/N!” Marco runs and hugs his granddaughter. “I’m so happy to see you.” He hits the back of her head. “Why are you disgracing the family name?? Playing the guitar? You couldn’t finish one bull?”  He hugs her tight. “Your mother will be very happy to see you.” 

Y/N climbs up, what seems to be, an endless set of stairs. She finally makes it to the top and sees her mother facing away. “Mama!” 

Her mother’s head turns immediately, “Y/N?” 

“It’s me, mama.” Y/N voice quivers.” 

Her mother, Majo, runs towards her and wraps her in a hug. “Anak!”

She hugs her back tight with eyes glistening. “I missed you so much.” 

“Ay, anak. I’ve waited so long for you…but not long enough.” her mother hits her shoulder. “Wha-what are you doing here?” 

“I’m here to be reunited with the love of my life. You’re going to love Daniela, mama.” 

“I’m sure I will. You turned out so gorgeous and handsome, just like me and your father.” Majo pats Y/N’s cheek. 

“And I became a bullfighter, just like you wanted.” 

“Me? Haven’t you heard anything about your family’s history?” 

“What? But papa said-” 

“Ay that Carlo…wait till he gets down here.” she shakes her head. “Come on, let’s go meet the rest of the family.” 

She pulls her down the float to the base of it where many members of the family stood. Cousins, aunts and uncles, all crowd around the newest member of the Y/LN family in the Land of the Remembered. So many faces, so many kisses, so many JRs and too many unknown aunties claiming to have changed her diapers before she can remember. 

“Anak, we’re here. This is Magwayen’s castle.” her mother explains. 

The family oos and ahs at the gorgeous castle that stood so tall it could reach the Land of the Living. 

“I don’t see it.” Gabriel scratches his head. Angelica hits the back of his head. “Ohh, wow that’s nice.” 

Angelica scoffs, “Bobo.” 

“Come, Magwayen will help you find my new daughter-in-law.” Majo pulls her daughter towards the castle as she gapes at the sight. 

The family walks through the castle doors. Y/N gasps at the beautiful interior. Pillars of quartz stood tall, each delicately designed with gold details. The chandelier hung from the tall ceiling, sparkling and shining as the light from outside hit each glass pendant. The castle was the image of elegance. 

“We were always Magwayen’s favorites. You know how bullfighters flirt with death.” her grandpa boasts.

“And that’s why there are so many of you down here.” her mother teases. “Magwayen is throwing a big party for Undas for everyone, let’s get to her now before other families come.” 

Y/N walks up to the large throne that is turned away. “My lady, could you help me find Daniela Avanzini?” 

“No one here can help you, bullfighter.” Wings, black as midnight shoot out. A deep, dangerous laugh echoes through the walls of the castle. The throne turns around in a swoop. “The Land of the Remembered has a new ruler!” Sidapa smiles devilishly. “Who you ask? Well, little ol me?” 

“You again?” Y/N whispers. 

“But Magwayen would never hand her domain over to you.” Marco claims. 

“She lost a bet.” Sidapa says casually.

Marco nods, “Oh…yeah she would do that.” 

“This land is finally mine!” Sidapa grins, “All thanks to you, Y/N.” Looks of shock scatter all over everyone’s faces, “Magwayen bet that Daniela would marry you, I bet that Daniela would marry Jonah. And since you’re not around anymore, Daniela will be marrying Jonah, just to protect that little town.” He finishes mockingly. 

“No but…Daniela died! I saw it with my own eyes…unless.” Y/N looks up at Sidapa with eyes of recognition. “Oh yes!” Sidapa cackles. Y/N sinks to her knees. 

“Anak, what is it?” Her grandfather and mother immediately go to her. 

Sidapa sighs and explains, “One snakebite merely put her in a trance and right now, my champion is waking up the sleeping beauty.” Sidapa forms a globe with his hands, the green sphere showing Daniela waking up from her slumber as Jonah kisses her cheek with his amulet pressed onto her. 

The Y/LN family gasps at the story and sight. “One bite? Your snake…it bit me..you cheated!” She bangs her fist on Sidapa’s table. “You will pay for this!” 

Sidapa’s smile drops as his wings spread more. He glides through the table setting, pushing away everything in his way. The lights in the castle dim as his figure seems to grow taller. He bends down slightly to look at Y/N, his body looming over her tinier stature. “In all my years, no one in any realm has ever talked to me and survived. So I ask you, are you threatening me?”

Y/N steps back as Sidapa gets closer with his wings covering all light from the windows. “I will expose you to Magwayen and then you and me can settle things.” 

Sidapa laughs, “you’ll never reach her in her new realm. I should know, I rotted there for eons.” His wing backhands Y/N, sending her flying into one of the pillars. She groans out in pain as she tries to get back up. “If you all will excuse me, I have a wedding to plan.” Sidapa flies out and destroys the window as he crashes out through it.

Under the tree where Y/N was found lays candles, photos and small gifts under a larger photo of her. Carlo kneels in front of it as tears fall down his face. Not far from the little memorial, Daniela and Jonah sit, watching over the town. 

“I don’t understand. Where’s Y/N?” Daneila asks through tears and a tightening jaw. 

“I’m sorry, Daniela. Y/N…passed away.” Jonah says quiets. 

Daniela backs away from Jonah, her chin wobbles as her voice cracks with every word. “No…i-it can’t be.” Jonah steps towards her with arms slightly open. She hugs him and releases a guttural sob. Her tears stain his uniform. He bites his cheek, holding back his own. 

General Avanzini walks up to them. “Daniela, we are all so sorry about what happened to Y/N. But Jonah just saved your life, he will always protect you.” 

Daniela steps out of Jonah’s embrace. “General, this is not the time.” Jonah’s voice warns.

The general shushes him. “Please, make him stay.” 

She refuses to look at Jonah but whispers, “Will you stay in San Angel if I marry you?” 

“Yes, but you don’t-” 

“I accept Jonah’s proposal.” Daniela’s voice cracks as a tear drop falls down her cheek. 

Sidapa watches from afar, “Ah…young love.”

“I have to find Magwayen, please!” Y/N looks around at her family, desperate. “Please, help me.” 

“Anak, just stay here with us.” Her mother offers. 

“No more worries.” her grandpa says. 

Angelica adds, “Parties everyday!” 

“With the whole Sanchez family.” Gabriel finishes. 

“Thank you guys…but right now I need to be with Daniela. It’s all I ever wanted.” Y/N says lovestruck.

“Okay, well if Magwayem is where Sidapa rotted away.”

“Then she’s in the Land of the Forgotten.” one of the JRs called out. 

Gabriel starts to shake his head, “That’s so danger-”  Angelica hits his shoulder, “Quiet! Y/N, there is only one way to get to the Land of the Forgotten. Through the Cave of Souls.” 

“Going there would be certain doom!” her grandfather adds. 

Y/N puffs her chest and stands straighter. “Well, it’s a good day for doom.” 

Author’s Note: Yay! Finally was able to finish this chapter! I think there will be one or two more. A lot more than just three parts as I originally planned but I hope you are all liking it! Thank you for being patient for the update. As always, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Getting to Know Each Other: Round 1

Favorite MLP character? Why?

OMG okay so I was so excited to be put onto the Rainbow Dash team cause she’s my favorite character. Little me was such a suppressed little gay with very little representation, I saw myself in her. Also, her whole thing is about being loyal and COMPETITIVE, literally me…I’ve calmed down tho so I’ll try not to get too competitive in these games

Favorite song? Why?

It changes a lot. Right now, I have 2. TV by MICO and Oceans and Engines by Niki. TV feels like my imposter syndrome anthem and is constantly on repeat. Oceans and Engines is the perfect mix of devastatingly heartbreaking lyrics and amazing production (especially if you’ve heard her sing with the orchestra arrangement)

Favorite book? Why?

Okok the Percy Jackson series literally inspired me to go into the arts so I have to give that a shout out but honestly my favorite book that I can reread over and over at any time is the Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I read it for the first time at 14 and I swear I’ve read it over 100 times.

Best fic you feel you've written? Why? What do you think makes it such a strong piece?

I think the best fic I’ve written is Beyond the Lens or The Book of Life Au series (that I have yet to finish…it’s coming I promise). 

Beyond the Lens was my first fic on this blog with angst I believe. A lot of my fics are fluff because I write enough depressing stuff in my life outside of tumblr that I try to remind myself that people can simply be happy sometimes. The fic is a taste of what I can do and it was very well received. With time, especially if you follow the Fallin In You series, I might write more in that genre. 

The Book of Life AU is just fun, I think the idea was one that I just adored, especially with incorporating Filipino folklore and traditions into it.

Oh god, if you think I yapped a lot in the previous questions wait till now. 

I have so many but I’ll keep it to 3. 

The After Hours series by @neoplatinum , my god I loved it and consumed it so quickly when I first really got into katsblr. Cause yes smut, but also the way Neo writes is so intriguing that it has to be one of my favs 

Your Idol by @eyekoninurarea…when I said this series literally pushed me to write, I mean it. I kept up with every single update from the beginning because the way things were described was inspiring honestly! I write predominately in screenwriting so deep description is not in most of our repertoire. The series inspired me to flesh out those skills because of how amazing it was in the fic. 

Okay, I never really read smaus before but then I found Shoot your Shot by @chrissv4mp, who is now my teammate?? Crazy and it's just one of my favorite ones and I literally would stay up late until 4am for a couple of nights just to read each one. 

Honorable mention to The Mountain is You series by @mayzini for constantly making me cry and a whole bunch of other fics. Sorry for all that yapping!

Meeting people and making friends! I am quite quiet in my little corner of katsblr and was almost spooked out when I first joined by a bunch of anon haters. I’m glad I stayed and hopefully get to have more moots.

What do you know about Ciphers? 👀

I know quite a bit actually, I used to love mystery books and would obsess over puzzles and ciphers. I also figured out and learned g-language myself which, for those who don’t know, is like piglatin? for tagalog and it is a very similar process to figure out ciphers as it is to figure that out. 

Bonus: 

I learned that most of my team does not know ciphers or mlp which is really funny.
