Well, it's amazingly nailbiting. And it's dialed up to a million emotionally at all times. (makes me think of Samuel Fuller - go all out all the time). And it's really well done on the level of writing technically sci-fi spaceship battle stuff, and it works, it is thrilling. Never gets lost in like Star Trek whatever technobabble, but keeps it "realistic" yet understandable.

I really really liked these 2 novels. But it hurts how, in the end, the last few moments, we lose our contact with Terisa. We were right there, with her, for 1200 pages, and then, in the end, she moves away. It really hurts. I miss her.
