Since my phone can't handle too many layers and such, honestly, my only advice is to use them economically.

My layers mostly consist of lineart + color (under lineart layer) + lineart color + effect and that's about it.

Like really.

And if you're feeling a little bit extra, merge everything together and play with tools and effects as you please until you are satisfied with the result.

Mine would mostly be Base, then lineart, then colour, then shading

the first version is the easier but also boring for the eye, the sequence rectangular-square-square and repetitive, try to use diagonal cut, open space and vertical cut to help the movement of the story and action.2. use movement to tell the story
