GET WHAT I WANT, I KNOW HOW
@shooting-starlet
Welcome, one and all to the virtual living space of the one and only Rachel Barbra Berry. If you have stumbled upon this page, you are incredibly fortunate. I am so excited to introduce new people to me and my emerging talent. If I, however, know you in person, I bid you the warmest of welcomes and encourage you to peruse through my blog at your leisure and discover new things about the girl you supposedly thought you knew. Before I get ahead of myself, though, I should probably explain to you my humble beginnnings. I was born in Lima, Ohio to my two gay fathers, Hiram and Leroy Berry. I adore the two of them beyond all belief and their support has been invaluable to me throughout the years. I am, unfortunately, without a mother and although I sometimes feel the ache of not having a female influence I can immediately turn to, my two fathers have been excellent parents to me in every way imaginable. As I grew up, my fathers naturally spoiled me in the arts. Aside from introducing me to musicals from the age of one, I've also been priveleged enough to be given professional vocal, drama and dance training by the best Ohio can offer. This keeps up my competitive edge and helps me not only to compete against others, but to always strive for my personal best. I am now sixteen years old and a junior at William McKniley High School. I am the president of several clubs on campus, but the most notable of these is undoubtedly our glee club, the New Directions. I adore it to pieces. My fellow students need my leadership and guidance in order for us to win the competitions that we do. I am often given the solos or lead parts in our performances, simply because our director recognises the fact that I am the best. I cannot really be faulted for being the best, can I? Although the New Directions seem to be the underdogs on campus, that is all set to change. This year, we are planning to take Nationals by storm and return home with that first place trophy. Just you wait! After school, I do not intend to stay around this one carriage town. I am more than ready to take my chances in the Big Apple. Yes, you have heard correctly. I, Rachel Berry, starlet extraordinaire, will be taking my talents to the next level by moving to New York City after graduation. I am planning to attend a performing arts school there. I'm hoping to have my pick between NYADA, NYU: Tisch and Juilliard. I'm sure something somewhere will send me a sign as to which of the three I should pick, because at the moment I'm splitting hairs for which school should have the privelege of calling me their student. Hopefully Kurt will join me there and we will be able to procure a lovely apartment and live together in the greatest city in the world. For now, though, I must be content with what I currently have. I have my parents, I have my half-brother Blaine, I have a few close friends and I have my talent. Those are more than enough to get me by until I get to pack my bags and leave the old me behind in favour of bigger and better things. Whilst I'm here, feel free to send me messages. I strongly suggest that you do this now, as when I am in New York, I am going to be far too busy to answer any questions. Now is the time. Until then, I wish you farewell and invite you to peruse my meticulously organised blog. Until we meet again!
