small correction first: takoshi never felt anything romantically for konoha. she had/has a massive crush on him, but he never reciprocated those feelings, hence why he ended up breaking up with her despite it being the only healthy relationship he had pre-masumii.

there are a good few named side characters who are important-ish to masumii and takoshi's story, one of which is konoha; i just haven't elaborated much on them yet as my main focus was getting masumii and takoshi's backgrounds out first (real successful on that one). once im back to writing and finally finish up the au doc (which needs like 5 more sections now), i plan on making a side character doc as well.

for now though, i can touch on her a bit + show the rough design concepts i have for her.

konoha is a timid young woman whom takoshi has known since highschool. she currently works as the lead graphic designer at the software company takoshi runs, a position that he personally gave her when she was in a tight spot despite their (at that time) strained relationship. as is true for all of the side characters, she doesn't really have any heavy personal baggage herself (with the two leads having all of... that going on, the side cast should offer some levity), but she has had some struggles, mainly in the form of repeatedly being rejected by the art school she wanted to get into for college, and struggling financially for a bit as a result. she dreams of being a manga artist, and is very passionate about the topic. she's also a bit of a fujoshi.

i kinda touched on how her short lived romantic relationship with takoshi went in the takoshi post, but the tl;dr from her pov is that she still very much is in love with him, but respects his lack of feelings for her and ultimately she just wants him to find his own happiness, whether it be with her or not (hence why she was more than ok with them just staying friends). she's very happy for him when he gets with masumii (who she knows well at that point; they're coworkers), and it honestly drives her a bit insane how perfect they both are for each other (in the same way im insane about them, to be clear). she honestly thinks they're both insanely hot and isn't very normal about it in private (she is very normal and respectful to their faces).

i don't think she would make a very good pov character though, solely because she's well. a side character. an important one, sure, but ultimately a lot of the important moments in takoshi and masumii's relationship are things that are private to them or just don't happen when she's around. in the 'fully written out' version of their meeting/how they get together, the primary pov character is masumii, with certain parts swapping to a takoshi pov as needed.

yeah that's about it. i've been meaning to elaborate on her and hideko (the other important side character who works at the software company, and masumii's best friend) for a while, so. no time like the present i guess.

oh yeah, and here's her design concepts. i have a more finished design for one of the au versions of her, but that's not really relevant right now.
