Very thrilled to be included in this group show @ McClelland Sculpture Gallery - curated by Janine Burke and Penny Teale. Thanks for including my Ephemeral Art in these stories relating to our 'animal' relationships to environments . I thought it a wonderful connection that I had intuited but not conceptualised in this body of work. 4 of my images from the ONE A DAY project 2014/15 were selected. seed collecting process for #seedrain - after opening about 20 of the larger black pods ( ID anyone?) the last one was being #predated ! ie it was being eaten by a very tiny #caterpillar. Seeds can be predates without ever exiting their safety pods ..... since predation is a strong theme for my collaboration with Sichong Chen ( seed scientist) I thought this was pretty cool to observe. Caterpillar is still happily chomping ... @erambooart @kuringgaiph

Seed Rain is a science term for the event of enmass seed release in a forest so that it appears to be raining seeds. #shirin #yoku ( Japanese term for the act 'forest bathing ' ). Many poetic, symbolic and literal associations.
