“Well if you’re doing fine then perhaps I should extend my dinner invitation to Vanya.” He baited, circling to the coffee machine to pour himself a mug. He’d been gone all week on some private project he’d been keeping from even those closest to him. 

“You’re no stray.” He comments with a low rumble to his voice. Yevgeny rings the little bell, clearly satisfied with it. He doesn’t wait for permission to slip it around the blond’s neck and fasten it. “Beautiful.”

“And how do you plan on repaying me?” He snickered softly. “Not that I wouldn’t mind loosening you up. But one good deed deserves another.”

“What’s the matter, Kitten? Don’t like an audience?” He growls softly in his ear, remaining all too close behind the Major. “Then don’t draw attention.”  Whatever they were saying was probably pretty accurate.

Yevgeny froze as several weapons were trained on him, a sneer growing on his face. He despised feeling like a caged animal. There’s nothing pleasant about a prison. The heat that had started to engulf him the moment he’d been presented with a visitor gave way to outright flame. He had very little voice to speak of and chose to keep his words short. “What do you want?” The low raspy growl came out with more of a struggle than he would have liked, fighting his own limitation left and right.
