so. Idk how you feel about Derek but a character in DOL, Whitney, is like…almost JUST like him. Every character fits into an archetype, and Whitney is the Bully character. You can genuinely only raise their love by letting them make you their bitch. I am on year two and only have 7% love with him (he’s a male on this run—all the characters gender and race can be different which is another thing I like) I can’t let myself get tattoo’d just for some small love boosts /lh (note: I love making Whitney trans because it makes him sm more likable to me. Avery is sm like Celia just because they’re a sugar parent and also secretly evil. Businessman/woman, draws you in with their charm, pays you for going on dates, and when you’re wrapped in instead of being sweet like Celia they see you as a possession. It’s VERY toxic and unhealthy. If you say no to anything or ask to stop suddenly your pay gets docked to a disrespectful amount. They don’t want you financially independent.

Bailey…kinda like Strade just because they’re genuinely the worst. Rivals strade on the sadistic levels of evil they’re on because while strade is so joyful and loves keeping their pet safe, Bailey actively sells you if you can’t pay them on time. They were your caretaker for some time and now you have to pay them back every Sunday/wednesday/whatever or else you’ll be sold and it’s not always garunteed you’ll come back. Bailey is one of the evils of the game so you can’t romance them but by god will we pretend we can. Abuses all the other orphans as SOON as they turn 18, and Robin (our sibling figure) is always sold for a week and comes back terrified. Kylar my stupid lame beloved UGH I wish I could say he was like Ren but ren would GENUIENLY rock his shit so bad, Kylar is a bit of a pussy and only light yandere. REN is more extreme and absolutely the worse of the two, BUTT!!
