The guide uses a program called gpedit (group policy editor), if you can't find it on your computer, follow this guide to install/enable it, and remember to always run as administrator:

Win + Q

Search: command prompt

Right-click > Run as admin

Copy, paste, and enter these commands:

yeah bds is a very long haul game but it is absolutely one of the more effective strategies and i do not trust a single zionist (or self-proclaimed anti-zionist) who doesn't advocate for it. people assume it isn't but bds is actually highly effective and represents a real threat to both imperial and capitalist interests. a lot of people already know it was a key strategy to ending apartheid in south africa after many years. most people also know bds is illegal in most american states—what they don't know is that bds activists in egypt and the uae have been targeted and imprisoned as well. people assume only direct or violent actions get punished but the violence of the state is absolutely implemented against non-violent strategies like bds specifically because they are so effective.

people also overlook the economic vs cultural impact of the so-called "normalization" deals of the abraham accords, which were not merely for political and security interests but for the shared economic interests of the concerned states. they effectively criminalize businesses and individuals that refuse to collaborate with zionist institutions (as has happened in dubai) and enact mass suppression campaigns. bds is a regional threat because it is fundamentally opposed to normalization. its very possible that in a decade or two we will be facing a future where the US and european institutions divest from israel and its only allies will be its regional autocrats and fascists, but i would be very surprised if the normalization deals ever succeed in a cultural normalization (they never did for egypt or jordan) which will ultimately be and already is unsustainable

in that aspect bds works because it functions on both an individual and institutional level. if israel succeeds in forcing institutional normalization, and banning attempts at bds as it has in the united states it will still face cultural and individual boycotts. it is a slow-moving but unstoppable tide that, as it gains momentum, can not be reversed. as israel ought to know by now, fascism can force people to do anything but it cannot change people's minds. they will do their best to imprison, suppress and silence those advocating for bds and it will naturally make support for it much stronger. israel can kill insubordinate palestinians but it cannot enact this same kind of fascism on the entire world. in that aspect, by targeting campaigners for bds worldwide, israel only increases solidarity with palestinians.

it's not at all a low-risk strategy. it's extremely difficult to pull off because it requires a lot of organization and patience but it should be one of the main demands for the next decade. the cultural aspect of it should not be underestimated at all, and it does require israeli leftists and liberals to not only accept but advocate for a pariah status for their own country. the bds movement is careful and clear on which cultural targets are considered and which aren't, but they should actively embrace the movement to isolate israel on the global stage because that will be both the fastest and most peaceful way to achieve political results. this is why the (principled) israeli leftists and antizionists i know are actively pro-bds.

that said it IS slow. and in the time it takes bds to work, countless palestinians are ethnically cleansed and murdered under the israeli apartheid regime. there's a genocide happening right now. that's why bds cannot be the only solution and it's also why any and all forms of palestinian resistance cannot be mandated by those outside palestine nor by those complicit in their suffering
