Hello everyone! I’m not dead!

Here again with another sewing tutorial! Let’s make the fly of your trousers! It’s a tricky things to do, but  you can do it! (sorry for the shitty pics, my cell is starting to fall apart and my camera is on strike -_-)

Let’s start!   You need: -Patterns  -Fabric(s) -Light/Medium Vlieseline -Some patience

How to make the pattern: 

It’s easy ^^ ! Just traces the same line of the fly on your pattern, then add seam allowances like the drawing.

Fold your fabric and put the fly pattern on the folding line. Now you need the Vlieseline. Why the Vlieseline? Because it helps very much to mantain the shape and it helps the cloth to not ruin fast where you put buttons, zippers, etc for openings. Use it on your fly and in the waistband.  After doing it, there is another thing to do. If you cut 2 front pieces you will have 2 pieces with the fly attached to it. You have to cut away one of those ^^  Which?

Looking at the pants under it, you can see you have to attach the fly on the left side (looking at the photo).  Remember: Fly on the right = MEN ; Fly on the Left = WOMEN Tip: Usually the all the “real” jeans have the fly on the right, even the ones for girls ^^ These pants are for a boy, so I cut the fly in the right part.

Now refine all your pieces:

Aaaand now let’s create the fly. Take your little piece of fabric and sew the bottom:

Cut the seam allowance, turn it, and iron, and last thing: refine it! 

Yay your fly is ready :D ! Now the worst part: sewing it to your pants.

1: Sew the crotch until the point where you have to sew the fly 2. Pin your fly and sew it! Beware: the two sewing lines has to coincide. So you can baste it and sew it from the inside, so you can see where the seam of the crotch are! 3. Voilà! 

We’re at a good point! Now we have to sew the other side! 1. Fold the part (seam allowance+fly, so the folding will match with the other part, in my case the red line) 2. Pin or baste it 3. Sew the fly as you wish! 

AAAAAANDDDDDDDDD ............ Voilà!

Here we go, another tutorial! I hope you'll find it interesting ^^ It's a double tutorials, how to sew a sleeve + how to sew a T-shirt! Let's start! What do you need: ❤ A sewing machine ❤ Iron ❤ Scissor ❤ The pieces of your T-shirt

Trick: For the neckline, use a piece of fabric cut in bias. Is the only way to make a clear shape on a roundness ;>! 

First, let's prepare all the pieces!  Usually I start with the hem of the sleeves and the neckline.

Trick #2: Use a stretch stitch for the hem, like the zig-zag stitch ;>!

For the neckline, take the bias you prepared and iron it in half

And then iron it again, and give it the shape of a smile!

Now let's start sewing! Sew a shoulder and iron the sew allowances

Take the bias and pin it and sew it! If you need, baste it to help you sew.

Reduce the seam allowance if is more than 5mm, or your neckline can have some difficult to take the right shape!

I usually backstitch the neckline, so the seam allowances doen't go where they want!

Trick #3: I use a stretch stitch to sew the neckline, and the backstitch of the neckline! 

Now sew the other shoulder. Be careful that the neckline and the backstitch coincide from both side!

Iron it, so the neckline takes the right shape!

Time for sleeves :D!

Fold in half your sleeves for finding the shoulders point.  Mark it with a pin or folding with your nails. Then pin it on the shoulder, then pin the two ends. Now pin the space between the shoulder and the end sharing the fabric of the sleeve. Be careful to not create pleats in the process! Sew it! I usually don't baste the sleeves of the T-Shirt in big size, but for other thing made in non-elastic fabrics I baste it, because it can be very difficult to move right the fabrics and the risk to create pleats are very high XD!

After sewing both sleeves, check that there isn't any pleats. Now we're almost done! We need only 3 more stitching!  Fold your work, and sew the under sleeves + the flanks. Clean your work and sew the hem with a stretch stitch.

Use your friend iron, remember to iron very well the seams allowances od the sleeves so the T-shirt would look right and........

You done! *victory*

Finally I can do this tutorial!  IMPORTANT : This is NOT a professional way to do sleeves, but the professionals one involves too much calculations, rules.... they're pretty complicated, plus, BJDs don't have our proportions, so it's more difficult. I created this method because I'm lazy. Lol. The second part will be how to sew them!

What do you need?

 Pencil

 Paper 

 Ruler

Take your pattern of your top/t-shirt/shirt (1) and match the shoulders (2). Redraw the armhole on a paper ( 3 & 4) and mark both end of the armhole and where the two pattern are connected (very important!).

Measure how long you want the sleeve (5) (if you want a long sleeve, bend the elbow of your doll to 90° and measure from the shoulders. Thanks to this, when you bend the elbow, the sleeve won't seems too short ^^ no naked wrists XD). Measure from an end to the other and divide by 2 and mark it (66): Now track a horizontal line (7) this will be the center of our sleeve! Draw the hem (8).  Tips for non-stretch fabrics: Since many BJDs have hands with finger that they go where they want, take the circumference of the hand! 

Hello everyone!  I'm alive! I'm so sorry, it passed so much time after the last lesson!  Today I'll wite a simple tutorial, how to do a bow hairpin (or just a bow, to add to your dresses!) (This is one method, there are many others, it depends which bow do you want!) Let's start! What do you need? For the bow:

Fabrics

Cutter / Scissor

Needle

Threads

Satin bow

Not required or for the hairpin:

Alligator hairpin Glue Scotch tape for leather (both side glued)

1 step: Cut the fabrics. I cut small rectangles, because I wanted my bow to be 4 cm x 3 cm. So 6 cm  (4 + seam allowances) width and 8 (3 +3 + seam allowances) in height.

If you want to put some laces, this is the right moment :D Put it in the middle of the rectangle and sew it. Let's start sew it:  fold the rectangle and sew it, leaving a open part.

(Yeah, I'm a fuuuh genius to use yellow fabric for a tutorial -_-) Now, I cut the seam allowances because I prefer not to have much fabric inside. Good, we sew the back of our bow!

Fold again, this time the shorter side.  The previous seam have to be in the center! 

Ok, now cut some se allowances and, usually, I prefer to cut the angle, so I can turn the bow and angle better. Now using a tweezers turn inside out the bow. I now, it seem a pillow right now XD!

Take your needle and some thread, and fold with your hands the bow the way you want, and sew it handmade.  I did an handsewing stitch, then I spinned the thread around the center of the bow:

Now: You can use a satin bow, or some fabric, to do the middle part. Since I'm lazy, I use scotch tape for leather and satin bow XD

It's done! :D  You create a cute bow for you or for your dolls!  Decorate it, and glue back the bow the hairping. Finished! :D

Hellow everyone! ☆ I'm sorry for the slowness, but my pc won't cooperate (´；ω；`)  Here we go with another tutorial! I hope you like it, and if there is any questions, please send me a message!  Spring Skirt - A power up of the ruffled skirt!

What do you need? ♡ Model ♡ Fabric/s ♡ Scissors or something to cut the fabric ♡ Pins & Needle ♡ Elastic ♡ Safety pins x2 Let's start!

First of all, you have to take 2 measure, like the other skirt: hips, and total lenght (TL). Now, you have to take the TL and split in two.  Example: My skirt will be 14cm from the waist, so the two rectangles will be 7 cm long + seam allowances each. First rectangle: Hips measure x2 ~ Second rectangle: Hips measure x3 ~ Ok now that we have the rectangles we can start to sew!

Take the second rectangle and ruffle it with the sewing machine (or hands), until he reach the same lenght of the first rectangle.  I prefer to iron the ruffle on the seam allowance, so when I sew and finish the edge, the fabrics wont fold and slip from the seams.

Now pin together the two rectangles, right fabric to right fabric, and sew it!

Very good! Our skirt starts to take a shape! Now finish the seam allowance with an overlock or zig zag.

Here we go!  If you can see the thread used to ruffle the skirt, you can remove it! (I remove it even I don't see it, to make the work more clean :D)

Now, stitching the seam, to prevent the allowance to go where it wants! (I'm sorry if the second photo is not so clear, is difficult to take a photo! )

We're almost the the end!  Finish all the edge of the skirt, and sew the back.  ❀ NOTE: If you want to put some lace at the hem, you first have to do the hem with the lace before sew the back. See the ruffled skirt for photos.

Ok! Now, held your best friend, the iron, and iron the seam allowance at the waist and at the hem. (I put 1 cm of seam allowance)

Now is really simple, is like the ruffled skirt: Sew the hem and the waist, and remember to leave a small part open in the back at the waist.  Take your elastic and safety pins.  Cut the elastic the measure you want (16 cm with seam allowances for my doll). Use the safety pins to pass the elastic through the waist.  Handsew the elastic and close the small part open on the skirt. Congratulations! Your Spring Skirt is complete :D

It's really easy!

Is simply a rectangle. You need only two measure: 

•GF = Hips (Giro Fianchi in italian)

• LT = Total Length

Then take the GF and double it, more or less.

(for example, if the GF is 12cm, create a rectangle of 20-24 cm)

More the rectangle is wide, more curled become the skirt.

Usually I put 1,5cm for seam allowances.

★1★ : Cut the rectangle.

★2 & 3★ : Finishing the edges.

★4★: Iron the hem. Is useful for avoid to baste it!

★5-6-7★ Sewing on the hem the lace you like!

★8-9★ Sewing the two sides together. 

★10-11★ Now sewing in tubular the waist, being careful to leave a piece behind open.

★12★: Now take your elastic and cut a piece. I cut 10 cm for my yosd (include seam allowance).

★13★: Take the two tiny S.P. and use it to pass the elastic inside the waist.

★14 & 15★: Use one S.P. like a guide for insert the elastic, and the other one for hold the end of the elastic.

★16-17-18★ Once you have inserted the elastic, sew the two ends together, and sew the small part left open.

To avoid that (19), hand sewing like pic 20 show. 

Voilà! Your pretty skirt is done!

Now the best part..... free your imagination and decorate it!
