~ Review of Clean & Clear’s Advantage Spot Control Treatment Gel ~
To carry on from last week’s post (which is here if you want to check it out), it can be quite tricky sometimes to find a spot treatment that works for you. Not only are there a myriad of formulas to choose from, but using the wrong spot treatment can ironically make your breakouts worse. My skin is incredibly breakout prone, so I’m always on the hunt for spot treatments that can actually make a difference. Which is where this gel comes in.
Before the night of my 21st birthday party, a humongous spot appeared on my cheek (the usual territory for my breakouts). While shopping for party supplies, I stopped at a beauty store to pick up something, anything that could help reduce the inflammation of the spot before the guests arrived in a matter of hours. In a hurry, I picked up this spot gel. Now, I’m not usually a fan of Clean & Clear as I find their products are usually too strong and harsh for my skin, but this was on offer and I didn’t have time to look at anything else.
Thankfully, it was a risk worth taking!
In a few hours, my spot felt flatter and less painful. I continued using it that night before bed, and woke up to a less noticeable and angry spot by the morning. I even used it on my boyfriend at a time when he needed it, and he couldn’t believe how quickly it became effective. The tube says that with continued use, breakouts should be prevented as well as existing spots being treated. From my experience, that’s turned out to be pretty true too.
This is the one spot treatment I keep coming back to as I know it’ll work. If you’re stuck in a spotty rut and need something that can act fast, this will help you out tremendously 💕
