Shu is the biggest proponent of loyalty, until you ask her to give it to Heaven. It starts when Nezha has anything to do with it, when he's the one that took their father from them. But it snowballs when they watch everything with the Samadhi Fire. Ao Lie's death, Ao Lan's suffering, Ao Ying's death, so on... He watches family members fall, while Heaven does nothing to help even after it becomes a known problem. And friends of that family-- Wukong, later the LMK crew, etc.-- suffering Heaven's bullshit doesn't help his lack of faith either. Nor does the fact that, despite everything, the dragon families still serve the Heavens faithfully, as if they haven't lost to Heaven's decisions. But, to her grandfather Ao Guang, it tends to be chalked up to "Shu is just rebellious and doesn't like to be controlled". Which, while true, is not the root of the issue, despite how much she's tried to communicate the matter. They just don't see eye to eye on it, to her dismay.

Irony because their faceclaim is Fate's version of her, but the entire Circe Saga of Epic has been fueling the Ao Shuang muse lately
