What is each characters biggest regrets?

I'm going to have fun and answer this for The Weeping Valley and Have You Seen Me?

Suri- Leaving their post, had they known how painful it was to be remade they never would have risked someone they cared for going through that. Prue- Trying to show off to the other village children. She was young and didn't understand how dangerous some of her fathers gifts could be unsupervised as someone untrained. The village recovered, though the those who lost children never forgave her. Taigan- What he said to his father before leaving for The Spire. His father doesn't write him, mother mentions him in her letters and says that he has forgiven him, but he knows that he truly hasn't. Amelie- Nothing, has never regretted a thing a day in her life. Caius- His first mistake. It was avoidable and yet it was one he made. He doesn't regret the path it has brought him down he just regrets what it has done to the person he has done it to.

Beau- Believing bad information. He ruined someones career, life really, on something he didn't double check. He lives with that now, he carries it with him. Jessica- Pushing that girl during her interview. She meant well, but she didn't realize just how badly the girl needed a friend and not an interview. August/Autumn- Not fighting harder for Shuler. They believe in soulmates and think theirs slipped away because something terrible happened. Wyatt- Falling in love the first time. Ash- How they acted when Lexie went missing. They thought it was a joke at first and never apologized because it was too hard. Brit- Marrying Rog. He never let her grieve properly and nearly derailed her whole life because his mother told him woman were supposed fill a certain role. Lex- Touching the board.

Suri "A Sun Spirit" Often mistaken simply for a greater spirit Suri doesn't mind. They are relatively easy going in that aspect. As a protector of the forest they are less lax. One of the few true Sun spirits Suri tries to exemplify the traits their parent is said to have. (spirit) They/Them

Prue "The Village Girl" Living at the edge of what makes up the greater spires ward area Prue isn't always an easy woman to find. Used to being alone being Half-spirited, the child of human and spirit. She is one of the kindest people you will meet even if people aren't always kind to her in return. 22 She/Her

Taigan: "The Spires Apprentice" The oldest person at the Spire to hold the title of apprentice due to the nature of his gifts; Taigan is special. Considered dual-gifted for how his gifts manifested. He is guarded as he understands just how dangerous his gifts truly are. 25 He/Him

Caius "The Shadow Boy" The spirit that you've grown up with. Your best friend and the one pushing you to go to Spires Ward. He's known you since he was a spiritling unable to take a form, you are the first bond he has ever made, much to The Great Mothers displeasure.

Amelie "A Greater Spirit" She is one of the many children of the Great Mother and Great Father, a sibling to all other spirits who fall into this category. Amelie will stop at nothing to get what she wants, she answers to the moon.

Nearly Mid July Update!

Hi everyone! Hope all is well! I have a small break in appointments which is a relief tbh.

As I'm enter the next stage for Chapters 4 & 5 the updates up here will be less frequent. Still aiming for the timing I gave.

After this I will go more into my writing/outlining mode and will update still and begin doing bug fixes/minor updates.

I'm trying to get a schedule laid out for the -ber months as well because along with all the fun things I like to take part in during those months I am planning something.

How do the characters feel about their past and growing up? Are they rose tinted glasses about it, bittersweet, angry, apathetic?

I'm going to answer this the HYSM characters.

ROs

Beau- He has a love hate relationship with how he grew up. He loves the privilege that he has been afforded, but there are aspects that he will always wonder "what if".

Jessica- She knows it wasn't great from an outside perspective. She knows children shouldn't be brought up that way, but at the end of the day she can't remember being unhappy or feeling unloved.

August/Autumn- The hardest spot in their past is having to let go of MC. A had an easy childhood with two doting parents. The only child of two teachers and the only grandchild on one side, A never went without.

Wyatt- Sometimes remembering isn't worth the effort. Wyatt loves to talk about other things, but when the conversation of its childhood comes up that is usually off limits. Growing up with a single mother wasn't easy, especially when she didn't take motherhood seriously.

The Friends

Brittany- She knows that her childhood was ideal to most, but she doesn't see it that way. She looks back and remembers how everything was a fight behind closed doors. Appearances mattered more to her mother than her actual well being. That and Lexie's disappearance are what shaped her into who she is now and what led her to her career.

Ash- They had a tough home life. Mom always had someone new around, Dad never called when he said would, and siblings always on some bullshit. Ash has multiple siblings and all could recount a different childhood to you. Ash and their older sister have a strained relationship still because of it all. It's why while Ash is eager to clear their name, they don't actually care about coming "home".

Lexie- Lexie had the ideal life until her dad ran off with another woman. Yet she never blamed him. Up until the day she went missing she still believed her childhood was magical because no one forced her to believe otherwise, she believed one day everything would fall back into place and be perfect again. Now ?

Recently I’ve been listening to so so much of NewDad and wilt, both on this list. I really do listen to F+TM that much; her and Yo-Yo Ma have been with/gotten me through so much over the years.

Quick update I've fixed where one of the choices wasn't working properly for M Dawes so now that should work. I also edited a small amount in other spots.

This devil-may-care attitude, however, hides a difficult past.

Will you be the one to discover all their secrets, allowing them to fully bloom?

Frankie "Slightly" (m/f): Intelligent but extremely conceited, the adjective "humble" is not one used to describe this member of the Lost Boys. Frankie loves to learn and read, and usually takes the lead when it comes to planning the next trap Captain Hook will fall in. However, their cocky, arrogant attitude is starting to cause a rift between them and their friends.

Will you be the one to show Frankie that bonds need empathy to grow?

Peter Pan (m): The self-proclaimed King of Neverland, Peter is playful and exuberant, but sometimes imprudent, mean, and resentful, he takes his jokes way too far. A paradox, in a moment this boy is as sweet as pie, and the next as cold as an igloo.

Tinker Bell (f): A mischievous, creative, and hard-working faerie, Tinker Bell has since outgrown the abrasive personality she had in the past. Now, she is kind and playful, overflowing with love for her friends.

Valentine Winters (m): Captain Hook's close friend and a musician in the Jolly Roger, Valentine is charming, if a little reserved, with a laid-back attitude that always puts you at ease.

Jubilee (nb): A faerie under Tinker Bell's tutelage that is assigned as your personal tour guide on Neverland, showing you the ropes. They are sweet, if a little ditzy and distracted.

This is a retelling of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, and as such, I took creative liberties with it to fit the narrative I wanted to tell and read about.
