Took inspiration from Greek Mythology and Surreal artworks, I combined symbols and myths with 3D modelling techniques. I hope the viewers would herein have fun imagining the mystery worlds hiding inside our ordinary necessities.

I wished my models to be more realistic so the blanket has a messy look. It was time-consuming to find the desired shape and I had to play it over and over again because of this reason.

In terms of realizing the concept of ‘ordinary’, I changed my mind not hanging tassels on the pillow because it would look too serious and overdecorated. The pillow should be a normal pillow that can be seen in our daily life, so I simply picked a dark colour which would fit the overall scene and the carpet pattern. 

The selected pattern uses a laurel leaf motif which also matches the ancient Greek setting.

I spent hours figuring how nCloth works and it turns out that I really like the result. I chose this texture because I like the furry effect it brings.

I finally decide to use marble as the texture of the bedstock, because it looks more solid and strong, which deliver a sense of dignity. 

The easiest part of my project - no need to manipulate the shape and UV map.

I choose this pattern because it is an archaeological finding in Ravenna, Italy, it fits my concept system which gives the carpet a classic finish.
