It’s been six months since I gave birth to the next love of my life.... six months. First of all I can’t believe I have been a mom for that amount of time... or that I’ve kept you alive and thriving, I seriously doubted that I could. And now, not sleeping and being covered in whatever you barf or poop on me is okay. Because one day you’ll be a grown man and you’ll leave from my neat and I’ll remember these tender moments when we closed our eyes and only needed each other. I live for your smiles and your laughs! And even now that you’ve figured out how to wrap me around your little finger.... I’ll do it all to see you happy. I wanted to spend our anniversary with you and chose to put off this post until we closed out the day lol yes because I’m extra! These five years have been full of love, happiness, compromise, trust and building. My favorite thing about us is that we are always learning. Learning to be patient and love each other unconditionally, learning to build a future. Learning to be the best parents we can be to our beautiful baby boy! When I look back I see where everything and everyone led me to you. We were just two kids from Queens, NY... now we relocated over 300 miles from everything and everyone we knew and have built a life together that is comfortable and amazing. Bags under my eyes and going to the grocery store is an excuse for lipstick. But my cup bares my new title and even though he was born before my birthday, the universe gave me the best gift. A tiny human that’s was purposefully made with love and excitement for the future! His birth was the scariest thing I’ve ever had to go through... and that is saying a lot cuz I’ve got stories lol but it taught me a new strength, a new level of love... such delicious sacrifice.
