My clothes were getting loser, but the scale was not going down... finally lost a pound. I have lost 7lbs this past month. I lost 9lbs before surgery and 27lbs the first month for a total of 43lbs down. I started out at 239 and now I weigh 196 (in the morning without clothes). My goal is to get down to 159 to 139lbs depending on how I feel and what I look like. My husband likes me a little more curvy so I don't know if I want to get down to 139, though it would be cool to say I lost 100lbs.Â
Right now I walk 3 miles each morning and I will start back with my trainer at the gym tomorrow. I am considering joining an jazzercise class (or something like it) but I am afraid I'll look strange or die because I am out of shape. Speaking of out of shape, when I was at my highest weight I didn't want to walk! Just 2-3 blocks was enough, now I don't mind walking 50-60 minutes each day, and I can feel myself getting stronger and faster, it is amazing how dropping 43lbs can make exercise easier. Â
Another thing that I have noticed is the skin on my boobs is getting loser :( and things are heading south (more than before) I am planning on getting a mommy lift as soon as possible after I lose my weight. I hope my insurance covers my tummy tuck, I will probably have to come up with the $6,000 to $8,000 to have my boobs lifted and firmed up. I am 51 years old and wonder if I am to old to have plastic surgery. Am I vain? Probably, but after losing 80lbs to 100lbs, I know I will need to do something with all the lose skin.Â
Look forward to hearing how others that had WLS are doing... wish you all good luck!
