I've come up with a horror iteration where all the turtles are the same species as in Rise but it's not Rise.
There will be a warning for blood/gore/horror/eye imagery below the cut.
Mikey
Mikey is the main turtle of this iteration as he's the one who's having these terrible reoccurring nightmares.
He's the younger of two, Leo being older, and used to have a fascination with learning about other turtle species. He also used to enjoy watching horror media, like horror games, scary stories, or other things of the nature, until his nightmares got this bad. He's an Ornate box turtle.
His shell has grey diamond shapes with orange ovals in the middle of each, looking like many eyes on his shell.
Leo
Leo has less of a role in this iteration but Mikey always feels safe around him, which is why the light or other objects Mikey obtains in his nightmares are references to him, usually being blue in color.
He's the older of the two and loves comics, videogames, and messing with random things he gets his hands on to learn how they work. If he's bored, he'll play a videogame or go out to search for things to mess with, mostly broken electronics. He's a red-eared slider.
His shell is a dark brown-grey with yellow lines going in to the middle to make three eye shapes from the edge of his shell. In the middle of these eye shapes are red ovals to make the eye shapes look more like eyes.
Splinter
He's the father of Leo and Mikey, being the cause of the entire mutation.
He's very caring for his sons and worries a lot for them. He's smaller than Mikey because of the rat genes. Unlike most iterations, Splinter, formerly Hamato Yoshi, was a scientist working on some genetic things. He decided to test something on two little turtles, of course learning how to take care of them in the process, and a labrat he obtained, on his own. An accident happened causing he and the turtles to mutate into what they are now, leading him to live in the sewers where they reside now. He's an albino bipedal rat.

Raph
Raph is one of the nightmare creatures. Not a brother. He and Donnie are the two other main turtles in this iteration.
He's the bigger of the two nightmares. He has a beak but no mouth, it's completely shut and his beak is like an overbite for a jaw that is wired shut. He doesn't talk, he only makes low growling and grunting noises. He is quite loud while moving because of his size. He is a nightmarish version of an alligator snapping turtle.
His shell is large, dark grey, and extra spikey with two large holes in it. One hole is near the bottom of his shell, in the middle of his shell. The other hole is right above his left shoulder and seems to go through to his plastron which has a large gash taken out of it.
Donnie
He's the smaller of the two nightmares. Not a brother. The second of the main nightmares.
He has no lower jaw but that doesn't stop him from being loud. He screams a lot to notify Mikey where he is, if or not he intends to. Despite his loudness via vocalizations, he moves the quietest, especially in any liquid he swims in. He is a nightmarish spiney softshell turtle.

His shell is dark green and leathery with a large hole going from the middle of where his shoulder blade would be and down for about 2 feet. The "spines" on his shell are a lot larger than they should be, giving him a more "hunchbacked" feel, especially when he slouches which is almost all the time unless he's swimming.
