Do we think John wishes he could kill himself do we think he feels guilty he can't? That he can't even give the world this, to get rid of himself? Do we think he feels guilty that he wants to live? That he wants things that he wants this life, these experiences, to feel the world around him do we think he wishes he didn't?

Arthur’s characterization this season gives me the vibe of what it’s like for service men and women who’ve seen things going back to normal society and having a very difficult time readjusting to life and thus developing PTSD

Hate it when people act like John is the more violent of the two. He may be more grouchy but out of the two, Arthur is the one that has consistently acted out in intense violence on a dime. It does not take much to provoke Arthur. He is not soft. He might have some stereotypically posh interests, such as literature or music, but violent outbursts just riddle his history and cling to him like a bloodstain. Yes, John was responsible for the deaths of countless Arthurs, but one must remember that John was under the influence of not only the darkworld’s corruption, but also Kayne. John has been shown multiple times to be shocked and even severely traumatized by Arthur! Lest we forget season three and also the prison pits. John is not an overly violent and savage creature. Especially not compared to Arthur.
