I l o v e when characters bond over music and art in general, because sharing your favourite things with someone else creates a connection. Saying “this is my favourite song!”, or book, or painting, or movie, is like saying “here, this is a small piece of me”.

It's intimate, it's sweet, it's real.

We know from the beginning that Sarawat has a crush on Tine – he's not exactly subtle about it – but he plays it cool, even though has no idea how to deal with it. He looks so calm and collected, but in reality he's super awkward and doesn't know what to do, and that's what makes him interesting, that's what makes me love him: he can be smooth, he can be an asshole, he can act like he doesn't care, but he's just... trying?

Because he does care. Because he wants this thing to happen, so he's learning. He asks Tine what he should do, wants to know what to say, listens to him, and plays one of his favourite songs because “here, this is a small piece of you, and I find it beautiful”.
