Just out of curiosity... Do you have any headcanons about kacchako?
Sorry this took so long, I had to think a while on them. Also Iâm a procrastinator.
Before they started dating:
Kirishima is a large reason why Uraraka and Bakugou started hanging out more often. Uraraka came to him in search of another hand-to-hand training partner, and Bakugou was often around doing his own training.
Bakugou became a very loud and impatient coach because he couldnât help but watch her and Kirishima train. He got very frustrated whenever she did something he deemed âwrongâ because she should know how to fight better than that.
Uraraka would also hang out in Kirishimaâs room to use his punching bag and Bakugou spends most of his free time in Kirishimaâs room when he actually wants to hang out with anyone.
Somehow they found themselves going for morning/ night jogs at the same time and it became an unspoken routine.
Bakugou gets extremely irritated when Uraraka is late for their morning runs (which is often because she hates getting up early and it takes a while to drag herself out of bed). He spends half of their route fuming as he runs ten yards ahead of her, yelling at nobody because sheâs not even listening to him (sheâs half asleep still and has her earbuds in to drown out his ranting, anyway).
After a week of this, he adjusts his time to fit her sleep schedule and suddenly she is never late.
Bakugou likes to buy snacks/ drinks for them if they run into town on the weekends. He got very angry when Uraraka tried to insist on buying her own and yelled at her to take the drink he bought and then ran back to campus ahead of her. She stopped arguing after the first time (because who would turn down free stuff?)
Rumors began to spread with how often they were hanging out. No one could tell if they were just friends or if they were dating or if their jogs and training schedules just happened to line up at the same time (because no one heard them discuss making it a routine, but it seemed to be a set routine). Kaminari was the only one brave enough to ask Bakugou. Bakugou blushed and literally exploded, and then shouted at Kaminari not to ask stupid questions before storming off ranting unintelligibly (the only words people could understand were variations of âfuckâ and âidiotâ). The girls asked Uraraka. She blushed, stammered, and then quietly stared off into the distance because they werenât dating but??? She had to think for a while on that. Then she was too embarrassed to train with Bakugou for a week, which pissed him off enough to call everyone into the common room and shout at them to mind their own fucking business.
Kirishima then helpfully pointed out that they were dating, they just hadnât realized it yet, and that everyone should just be patient while they figure it out⊠Which only prompted Bakugou to explode again while Uraraka turned red and for some reason started floating away.
One month later than agreed to start officially dating.
Their first real date was awkward and quiet and a total disaster because they had no idea how to date and were both shy and embarrassed.
Formal dates are not their thing. Uraraka doesnât like spending a lot of money on anything, and Bakugou is too uncomfortable with rigid formality.
Kirishima was the one who suggested they go to an amusement park or arcade for a date. (Dude is a surprisingly good wing-man). That date was a success.
It took six dates before Uraraka worked up the courage to hug Bakugou. He was very silent and red afterward⊠Until he realized she ran away before he could hug her back. He stormed through the entire dorm looking for her, just to hug her back and yell at her for running away from him. He then had to yell at everyone who had gathered to watch (because Bakugou rampaging through the dorm looking for his girlfriend to give her some affection demands an audience).
âI just want to hug the shit out of my girlfriend! What the fuck is so strange about that?â
He never hugs her where anyone is watching them again, but he allows her to hug him whenever she wants, even if others are around.
First kiss came after a couple of months of dating. Uraraka kissed him on the cheek one time. He thought she was just going to hug him like normal, but then the kiss came and he was caught off guard for a split second. She was going to bounce off to her room (not too embarrassed by what she did but still a little flustered), but Bakugou snapped back to reality fast enough to grab her. Anyone nearby would have thought he was genuinely angry with how loud he was shouting as he dragged her off somewhere more private, but Uraraka knew that he was just flustered (he was also very annoyed that she, once again, had the courage to make the first move).
The second he had her somewhere without prying eyes, he smushed her face between his hands and snarled down at her that it was his turn to take some initiative, and then smacked a hard kiss to her lips.
He was extremely proud of the stupor he left her in. Could not wipe away his shit-eating grin as Uraraka floated around the dorm for the rest of the day. Not until people started talking about Urarakaâs floating and Bakugouâs weirdly good mood. Kirishima bluntly said that they probably kissed, and the dorm erupted into chaos.
Their relationship provides more entertainment for the students than any drama on TV, tbh.
Bakugou is not one to make a move on Uraraka. He is very closed off with his affection unless she initiates it. But, he is very good at intensifying any affection given when they are in private. If she gives him a hug, he returns it even harder. She kisses his cheek, he kisses her back twice. She pecks his lips⊠well, theyâre making out then.
Neither of them are prone to PDA. The most anyone will see is Uraraka giving him a hug or kiss on the cheek, and even she is careful to not do that with others around (unless Bakugou did something that warrants the affection⊠or the embarrassment that comes from it - she has been known to use his reactions to lighten the mood in difficult situations, or take the edge off his temper if heâs getting carried away). They definitely do not hold hands in public. Bakugou might throw his arm around her shoulders from time to time, but itâs usually a âbuddyâ move that he does for anyone he feels particularly close to, he just lets it linger with her. Heâll also keep an arm around her if theyâre in a crowded place and he doesnât want to get separated from her.
It is common for them to hang out in each otherâs rooms, but they usually leave the door open so people donât start unfounded rumors again. If they want privacy, theyâll shut the door but not until everyoneâs gone to bed or are off doing other things.
The first time someone caught Uraraka go into Bakugouâs room and shut the door behind her wasnât until their third year. Everyone in the dorm gathered in Kirishimaâs room in the hopes they would hear something interesting. It started with Mineta wanting to listen in, and then everyone joined out of curiosity. Eventually Kaminari went out onto the veranda and climbed over to Bakugouâs room to see if he could catch a peek through the curtain because they couldnât hear anything weird. He found Uraraka sitting on the floor painting her nails while Bakugou was reading a magazine in bed. They were just casually talking about their graduation plans. Everyone was disappointed, but they still tried to peek in whenever they spotted them disappear into a room together. (They have been found studying, arm-wrestling, playing video games, reading on opposite sides of the room⊠just really mundane stuff that left people to wonder if they were actually dating or just really good friends).
Bakugouâs parents instantly fell in love with Uraraka when he brought her home to meet them. He even got into a fight with his mother because she wouldnât let Uraraka leave.
Bakugou tried very, very, very hard to be quiet and polite when he met Urarakaâs parents (his mother told him not to fuck up and while it pissed him off, he took the advice to heart). He even tried to tame his hair (futile, he knows, but the effort was made and thatâs what counts), and he held in his impulse to shout and curse until her parents said they were so surprised by how well behaved he was because everything they saw of him on tv and heard from Uraraka herself painted him to be anything but calm and well-behaved. Then he exploded, but in a good way, and shouted that he loved their daughter and wanted their approval of their relationship. He was then very loud in his gratitude when they gave it, and blew up again when her dad joked that he was a very passionate young man, and then her mother teased that he was also very shy. They, like Uraraka, come to learn that Bakugou is a lot of bark, but not much bite.
