A few tidbits about Asteron - he is, by arachne standards, very boring to look at. Caste on his homeworld is denotated by body markings and color (and, by extension, by birth), and he is in fact from the very bottom of the hierarchy. As an extension of this, he is not a fan of flashy colors and patterns on clothing because that's "bourgeois shit". - he is fascinated with "alien" (to him) fauna and flora. He lovesss flowers he thinks they're so cool and weird (they only have like. lichen and fungi on his homeworld bc they have very low natural light :c) - A collector! Of many things! Weapons, rare books, art objects, animals, lore, promotional bottle caps, you name it. He just likes Having Matching and/or Otherwise Interesting Stuff. Eventually he wants his own space station just to store/expose his stuff - Biologically, the exact opposite of a vegan. He can only eat animal products, boneboo (which is a plant that is, to my understanding, similar to meat on a molecular level) and a few other things Arachne are confirmed to be able to drink/eat (mushrooms and coffee, notably. latter of which gets him drunk.)
First mining trip of the run and there's a lovely lil fountain area under his burrow :)
First time in a long while not using an ore glow mod, this does make ressource gathering harder but it gives this ore detector he found a use! the way the lil guys in my brain light up when they see a new color on the scanner is worth the tedium
Then he dug into a treasure vault that was COMPLETELY EMPTY. THOSE TREASURE CRATES HAD NOTHING IN THEM. I GOT ROBBEDDDD
and when he emerged from his mining trip he was ready to get grandmasplained by esther. He will participate despite not being a protector bc he happens to be one of the idiots who lives in the universe that is being threatened, and also she gives him little treats when he does a good job

Starting a new playthrough with my old starbound main guy!! His name is Asteron and his lore is nebulous (geddit???) but basically he is problematic and a. pirate. I love pirates a bunch. Something something turned to space piracy to avoid his homeworld's evil ass caste system Openstarbound is SUCH a gift for so many things but right now i am specifically thankful for the additional vanity slots, with those and Tiri's Accessories I can give him his gross spider mouth, finally!! Mostly always hidden by his scarf but it's ok i know it's there. Idk if I stick with the standard ship as usual or if I try and make the effort to use a BYOS mod. I do love the idea of him making his own junker but MAN am I bad at building in this game. Also his ship pet is named Mosslung and she likes pearlpeas :)

It's just me and you, and you and me, AND MY FRIEND STEVE My main TTRPG character for a Shadow of the Demon Lord game a friend is running!! She is my precious, ugly daughter, and the giant rat who makes all of the rules, and i love her dearly and i am not willing to bet much on her survival. Her deal is that she dreamt of another dimension once, went completely insane over it, made it her life mission to make her dream come true. She thinks light blue equipment is inherently superior to its not-light blue counterpart, she thinks eating gold is the ultimate panacea, and she has an irrational fear of humanoid children. One time she licked a sign that said "don't touch" and her hand fell off but it's fine it grew back. She keeps the spare one in her pack. Just in case.
