One of them is this freaky little ice dragon I both love and hate:

I like to imagine him as Boreal’s weird little brother and I’ve named him Sleet:

I HAVE!! Funny enough, my first thought upon seeing it was "oh my god! Boreal has a little sibling!" and then I went "wait, it's very oddly Boreal colored, too, placement and everything...."

ALSO I LOVE SLEET I might doodle him and Boreal sometime... off topic but i have a headcanon somewhere that Boreal lays one egg every decade or so, but because she's not an organic or biological dragon, there's absolutely no chance for her to parent a real hatchling, so the eggs never hatch... The Ice Emperor kept all of the eggs throughout his reign, proud of his dragon daughter all the same. I like to think that Zane misses them... i like to think that, some time after breaking the staff, he stops in his tracks and goes "oh no..." because if his corrupted power is gone......... everything else is gone, too.......

ANYWAY sorry for the hc ramble I LOVE SLEET AND I will absolutely be buying this dumb little boreal colored 4+ lego dragon and putting him on my Boreal shelf

originally, Austral was going to be a surprise for the main au fic, but I figured it'd be easier to explain her general premise separately rather than trying to fit it where it didn't quite make sense. I think she's pretty interesting to work with. it's always fun to do something with a character whose entire purpose is only a temporary event, one that leaves her without any usefulness to her creators...
