you know what still bothers me??? when i came out i had two friends send me these long texts (one of these friends i don’t talk to anymore) asking me all these questions because they were confused as to how i knew i was a lesbian like they were confused because of my past and how i could possibly know. this wouldn’t be a problem if they weren’t straight and they were trying to figure out their own sexualities and needed advice, but these were straight people being nosy and questioning my sexuality because they didn’t “get it” and were like “are you sure???”. don’t ever question lesbians like this, whether you know them or not. lesbians already get questioned by society enough, we already get hated enough and berated enough by society, like we don’t need those close to us questioning our identities lmao. our sexualities are ours and no one else’s, no one else gets to question our sexualities because of their deep seeded lesbopobia, because these people know our pasts (whatever that may entail), or whatever other reason. leave us alone, we don’t owe you anything
