I'd prefer these definitions: Verbally Violent - You say nasty things to the other person, probably loudly Physically Violent - The classic Mentally Violent - You say nice things to the other person with subtle remarks, probably passive aggressively, in such a way that your words will burrow in the other person's psyche and haunt them for years to come.

I have the most controversial opinion on pineapple on pizza.

I think pineapple on pizza is... ...okay I guess. It's not great, but it's not terrible. I could do without, but having it won't ruin the pizza.
