“Cool her temper.”

You snorted but quickly caught yourself as your grandmaster cocked an eyebrow, staring coldly at you. Shit he was serious. You hated when he was serious and actually had to calm Frost down from her temper flare ups.

“Yes, grandmaster,” You said, giving your master a proper bow. He returned it before giving a jerk of the head towards where you assumed Frost was throwing a fit. With a heavy sigh, and the grandmaster chuckling knowingly at your back, you started walking across the Lin Kuei temple.

The winds were strong, probably because at least one of the powerful cryomancers at the temple had their emotions running hot despite the nature of their powers. If the winds were strong then… she was outside? You walked around a bit outside until you find Frost kneeling on one of the cragilly edges of the mountain that the temple was seat on. The wind was sharper, stronger and colder closer to her and you had to raise your voice to catch her attention.

“Frost! Frost?! What troubles you?!”

You yell several times, intent on annoying her into responding since it was clear that she was ignoring you. When she finally snapped, the winds stopped dead and she turned on her knees to glare at you with pale cold eyes.

“What.”

“You’re changing what should be a pleasant evening into a snow storm,” You stated bluntly. Others feared Frost’s temper but you were hardly fazed. Probably why the two of you were such good friends.

“I…” Frost grumbled. “Apologize.”

She rose, quirking an eyebrow at the amount of snow that had gathered around her knees before brushing her clothing free of lingering snow and fluff. She also had to clear her styled hair free of the mess, making it a blue mess of iced over spikes that had you snorting at her and her grumbling, but thankfully smiling, at you as she joined you by your side.

“Seriously though, the grandmaster is always on us about watching our mental health. You can talk to me if something is bothering you,” You offered.

“You know me. Always striving to be the best and getting pissed off when I can’t hit it,” Frost relented with a grumble.

“You got to give yourself a break,” You said firmly, staring her down with an easy going smirk.

“Yeah, yeah… I’m working on it,” Frost sighed.

“You are… I can tell because the last time you punched a training mannequin until you busted your knuckles and then came crying to me to fix them,” You teased.

You got a face full of snow fluff and then a quick peck on your nose, it only made you smirk more smugly.

“Alright, smartass, wanna go a few rounds to make sure I’m all calm down?”
