18 days left but i’m not sure exactly what i’m looking forward to. i can’t be the only one of the thousands of graduates to have these same sentiments.  i feel the same anticipation/excitement like before i’m about to go on a fun vacation- i’m nervous and anxious about what the time will hold for me, but i’m also excited to clear my mind, and focus on what i’m doing. and letting myself trust that i’ll have a great time. 

it’s all about perspective. i’m still trying to figure out exactly what i have to look forward to, i know there’s a lot, but i’m still talking it all out in my head. 

it’s tough to be patient. it’s tough to be optimistic.

too often frazzled with my workload, all i have to do, how it doesn’t feel like i have enough hours in the day, that i forget to embrace the positives. how about the good things? especially about him. 

Like when he takes 9 hours out of his day to come to the city with me right after an exam, so I can go to a medical school info session.

Or when he brings me iced coffee and gelato for me and my girl friend while we’re doing work. 

And those times he motivates me to be healthy, by running besides me, encouraging clean eating habits and teaching me new things.

and all this was just today. 

I feel like I’ve lost all my creative flows. I’m out here trying to crank out my medical school secondary applications while being in charge of far too many things and comparing myself to much too many people, and spending too little time on my academic courses, and too much time beating myself up over all this.... while forgetting to be Shannon. 

It’s ruff. 

But at least this ‘new’ (relative to me) Tumblr update is nice.

OK, the last one seems like I didn’t try. Regardless, I think I have to go back to writing a bit every day or so. Sure for some reason it’s lame to have a journal, but for me it’s cool to have fun with introspection and not have someone proofread it.
